Splinterlands - SPS stakers are being airdropped GLX for 365 days

It is amazing what Splinterlands does for its prime investors and users and how they extend the perks from one ecosystem to the other. With the building of a new gaming platform by the Splinterlands team which is entitled Genesis League Sports and the first game from it that is built as we speak - Genesis League Goals, we have a new airdrop coming our way with the sole condition of having SPS staked. And as a good wine, there is a slow release for the new airdrop in the form of GLX tokens for over 365 days. That should help preserve the token value once the market will be opened for trading.

GLX is the capped cryptocurrency of the entire GLS ecosystem. It is rewarded only for high-ranking matches and competitions, so it acts in a similar manner as SPS on Splinterlands. Getting into the airdrop through staking SPS is the sole condition to it and for the next 365 we will be getting free tokens proportional to staked amounts. On top of that, there is a daily auto-claim which makes it much easier for any new investor and future user.

In order to see your GLX balance you can just put in the browser the following web address and simply replace the string with your account: https://validator.genesisleaguesports.com/balances?account=YourAccount. As a result of it, you should see as a response the current balance that you hold over that. It will return also the GLG packs in case you have bought any. You can also see that now in the game interface.

The beauty of this is that Splinterlands users were airdropped SPS for their assets holding. Now we are getting GLX airdropped based on the SPS staked. This shows that a good investment and a long-term strategy simply keep on giving and ensuring us a passive revenue stream. And I am sure that things will not stop here and together with the development of Genesis League Sports we will be seeing more perks.

I wish they would have developed a UI for this first before it started to happen to be honest.

Yeah, it would have been cool to have a GLS dashboard similar to SPS. Still, they do display the auto-claimed airdrop total in the current UI, even if that's the minimal information on it.

What chain are these tokens on? Is the new validators going to be a private chain? Is it modelled off hive?

Also I couldn't work out how to buy or sell them, I can see the coins on hive engine but seems like you can't withdraw yet?

These are tokens on Hive and they will mimic the SPS functionality but within the new Genesis League Sports platform. At the moment I think are internal/centralized generated, once the game evolves they will release the tokens on Hive-Engine, but I could only guess at this point.
