403 GLG cards traded in the last 24 hours

It's looking like trading activities are starting to pick up pace in the GLG marketplace. In the last 24 hours, there have been a bit over $700 worth of sales in the last 24 hours and that points to a potential improvement in my chance to make some sales.

For what it's worth, sales of this amount and volume aren't exactly something new. In fact, there has been a larger trading volume that eclipsed the $1k mark in the past.

The reason why this sudden rise in trading activities actually piques my interest is because of the timing. The fact that people seem to be buying cards at a relatively higher rate points to a potentially optimistic scenario for GLG card holders.

As I mentioned in my previous publication, the beta version of the game will be launched and anyone that purchased 100 or over packs will be eligible to play the game. Naturally, there will be limited features of the game but the idea is to get a general feel of what is to come in the full launch.

The fact that we're seeing a rise in trading activities so close to the beta launch of the game is quite bullish for card holders, even if you don't have closed Beta access. I don't think we will get to Splinterlands level any time soon but even a fraction of that will be very beneficial for card holders.

The future

The way I see it, the rise in trading volume due to a soft launch and some minor relief in the crypto market is evidence that Genesis League Goals could have a potentially bullish future.

There's still no way to track which cards are being traded the most but just like Summoner Lab offers a third-party service to track trading activities in Splinterlands, I think GLG will also start seeing some applications hitting the mainstream.

I've gotten wind of conversations that indicate the Splexx team are working on a couple of GLG solutions, including rentals and other features that will aid players in managing their profile. When people are willing to put effort into developing applications for a project, I think of it as an indication of how much value the said project holds.

Anyway, I suspect that we'll see an increase in trading activities in the coming days that lead up to the beta launch of Genesis League Goals. I'll be watching from the sidelines as things unfold and I believe that at the end of the day, the quality of the beta launch will be a factor in the short-term and long-term success of the game.
