Are people rage quitting Splinterlands?

There seems to be quite a number of people quitting Splinterlands due to a lack of patience or in some cases, circumstances beyond their control. The lack of patience is a result of all the changes that the game has gone through and the perceived punishment that has been meted out to investors due to the unfortunate state of the crypto market.

What we know about the market is that this current trading pattern is largely due to the broader crypto market's collapse. Many could point out that the perceived failure of the Splinterlands market started before the wider crypto market's troubles started, and I'll admit that's somewhat true but for the most part, the Slinterlands market suffered for reasons beyond the game.

I've often taken a neural stance about Splinterlands because I am eternally linked to the game. Even at this moment that I have virtually liquidated all my tradable Splinterlands monsters, I still have some packs and assets associated with the game that I haven't even been able to use or sell.

For the above-mentioned reason and the fact that I am also eligible for certain future airdrops, I keep tabs on SPlinterlands activities and I like to air my opinion about the progress of the game.

Measuring Progress

Measuring progress is a subjective topic because if the improvement or changes, if you may, doesn't align with your interest, then it is probably not progress to you. However, in the grand scheme of things, any work done to improve the project should still be considered to be progress.

The issue with measuring progress in Splinterlands is that there are so many parts of the ecosystem to consider and with only 24 hours in a day, the devs are time-constrained to working around the clock to effect changes across the board.

For example, I only just found out that there is a closed Beta version of Soulkeep and I don't think I have access to it for now but I have a couple of Nightmare packs that I'll open when the game has open access. In a way, we could say that's progress that affects me.

On the other hand, there has also been some improvement in Land and the evolution of the Splinterlands metaverse. At the time of writing, I don't have land, so this development doesn't directly affect me.

As an investor, your personal interest has to be prioritised, so a subjective view is adopted to protect your value. However, seeing as the game has a lot of interconnected parts, it is important to note the developments going on in the broader sense and this could inject some positivity into your feelings about Splinterlands as a whole.
