Buying Splinterlands credits, Voucher airdrop and preparing for a wild ride

I've talked about it on multiple occasions but there's nothing wrong with bringing back this conversation. The gist is about how you can participate in the open sales of CL packs in the near future.

We completed the first round of presale and the second round is coming soon. In the second round, 2 million packs will be made available but by that time, you can also open the packs.

In the second round of presale, you still need vouchers to open packs and in that period, we're going to be getting vouchers airdrop for staked SPS. It will be conducted in pretty much the same way as the first round of presale.

I'll participate in the second round, just as I did in the first round. I'll be minting CL packs with the vouchers I receive.

Just like the first round, I also intend to sell off some vouchers and then use the proceed to buy CL packs directly from the market. When I used this approach last time, I was able to get my hands on 53 packs.

The second round of the presale airdrop will be a double bill, so I could be getting my hands on around 100 packs. That's just on the assumption that vouchers and packs sell at the rates they're going for now.

The real chaos

For me though, the real chaos starts when the final round of sales comes around. In that round, there will be 12 million packs available and you won't need vouchers.

I also learned that packs can only be gotten with in-game credits. This will also be the first time I'm interacting with Splinterlands credits.

Splinterlands credit is basically the stable coin of the game. Credits are pegged at 1000 Credit= $1.

There are also other benefits of using credits, including some affiliate benefits. Anyway, thanks to credits, this ensures that you know exactly what you're getting when you get it.

Buying credits is pretty easy through the game. All you have to do is click that "+plu" sign you see beside it and select your payment method.

I used HBD from my post rewards to pay for $100 worth of credits. I intend to continue buying credits until the day we can buy CL packs without vouchers.

The amount of activity in the Splinterlands account that receives HBD and Hive payment for Credits has been going crazy. I can already feel the madness in the air.

Chaotic Chaos

There's going to be an actual stampede to the finish line, whenever the open sale of CL comes around. The rich investors are not messing about right now.

12 million packs suddenly seem like nothing right now. It is going to be gobbled up in a day or two.

To give me a chance and hopefully get my hands on up to 250 packs, I'll be stacking up credits until that day. Right now, I've raised $100 worth of credits, so just $900 more to go.

This will be the biggest single investment I've ever made in Splinterlands and I intend to raise it on Hive.

This fundraiser will mostly be sponsored by my publications on hive but I also intend to catch SPS price swings on the high, then convert to Credit at that price. Anywhere between 60cents to 80 cents is a nice range, although I'll be happy if a better price comes along.

Assuming everything goes to plan, I should end up with 1 million credits before the open sale comes along, and scoop up CL packs.

But you stopped playing

Yeah, I stopped playing Splinterlands but that doesn't mean I won't be interacting with the platform. In fact, my plan is to accumulate as many monsters as possible and increase my earnings from rentals.

It would be so cool if I could be pulling in $50-100 per day from rentals. However, that will need a decent investment in my deck.

I consider buying these CL packs a decent investment and I'll be opening them in batches. I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best. May the odds continue to be in our favour.
