GLG speculation after opening 63 packs

After hours of deliberating my choice, I decided to open some Genesis League Goals packs and I certainly hope it was the right choice. Since pack opening was introduced to the game, I have opened a total of 63 packs and have gotten an array of cards.

I must say that yesterday I had my doubts about opening the said packs but I was able to defeat the mental block by banking on speculation. My hope is obviously that the price of the cards will make it all worth it in the long run.

After opening 63 packs in total, I ended up with 50 Gold foil cards, which is about 15.87% of the total cards in my collection. Now, it is important to stress that we know gold foils will be more expensive and there are some arithmetic to speculate how much more expensive they will be based on their total supply but we can't say for sure how expensive they will be.

Another thing about the price of assets that we'll find in GLG packs is the price of coaches. Again, based on raw numbers, it is safe to speculate that they will be more expensive than players and I reckon they'll be a bit like Summoners in SPlinterlands.

This then means that gold foil coaches will cost quite a bit when the market place launches soon. So, in the future, they might even have an additional boost in price, so it is perhaps a better option to just hold on to them.

Just the numbers

After opening 63 packs, I ended up with 17 coaches, 22 goalkeepers, 103 defenders, 66 midfielders and 45 forwards. It is important to add that this may not add up to the total number of cards I'd get from 63 packs because some assets are multiple and weren't counted individually.

Anyway, if I were to go simply by this distribution, is it safe to say that coaches are the rarest, goalkeepers come second, forwards are third, midfielders are fourth and defenders are going to be the cheapest cards of the lot?

Now, I don't think it will be straightforward like this but I reckon it will have some elements of SPlinterlands pricing in the future. It is just as how magic monsters are typically more expensive than melee monsters despite coming in all classes of rarity.

The point is, there will be cards that are better than others based on stats but their position will determine how that card participates in matches. This could, in turn, make some positions more important than others, I presume.

In any case, there will also be XP from regular playing with a card and I reckon that will also be factored into the price of the card. So, playing as much as possible could also lead to some financial benefits beyond simply earning GLX token since your assets gain valuable XP points in the process.

There is still so much more to come from the game and I'm looking forward to seeing how things go. How many cards will I need to start playing the game? How high can I go and will playing be better than just flipping assets instead? Should I open more packs or just stick with what I have?

based on the sample about the back of the cards, what they shared in their last post, what are your thoughts regarding gameplay, reward earnings? how important segment the gold foil version can be? and how important the other - at the moment not visible - stats can be, like Level, Experience, Dynamic Stats, Skills, Equipment? Is it similar to Splinterlands, generally the system of card details?

I still did not get in Splinterlands, and won't anytime soon, so I can't really compare to that and come to some suggestion, conclusion.
