GLX pumps with Hive amidst teething problem

The dollar value of GLX tokens was up to 28 cents this morning after another round of glitchiness. Last time, the claim and staking button stopped working but the token continued to impress, but this time, tokens got lost in limbo.

At the time of writing, I still have some GLX tokens that disappeared into thin air when I tried sending them to Hive-engine. I checked the discord, and it turns out this was a real issue that many investors experienced.

Although the problem has been fixed and we can now send GLX tokens to Hive-engine, many people have still not received the GLX tokens they sent yesterday. I'm one of those individuals and I have filed a support request that hasn't still been responded to.

Teething problems

I get a feeling that these recent problems are just the first two of many more to come as the project is developed. These sorts of problems are common with new projects and to be fair, none of the issues have actually been too significant.

At the time of writing, there's not much else about the Genesis League Sports platform beyond the token and packs. As far as I can tell, investors haven't been rattled by the two recent events and I reckon this is a result of the level of confidence that people have in Splinterlands.

There's a lot of interest in GLX tokens these days and many people that initially intended to sit on the sidelines are getting involved. I was lucky enough to get in early and every day, I keep thinking about what would have been if I put a it more cash into the investment but that's water under the bridge.

In the coming months, I reckon we're going to encounter more issues with the system but as the team has shown since the last two events, the problem will eventually be fixed. The way I see it, problems are inevitable and what is most important in building confidence in knowing that the devs will deal with them as they come.

Hive pump along

At around 28 cents per token, GLX is trading at 0.76 Hive. On one hand, this is far from the ATH value of a token that has traded above 1 hive for a brief period.

On the other hand, 28 cents isn't exactly far from the ATH at the time but that's because the value of Hive was taking a beating. Things are a little bit different, as hive pumped closer to 40 cents at the weekend.

GLX token is still relatively new and I'm not even sure how the speculators are treating it. Will it have an inverse relationship with Hive or will trading activities ignore the dollar value of Hive and continue to climb in terms of Hive?

I hope it is the latter and I also hope the Koreans in Upbit start their Hive pumping activities once again. That would be nice on paper, at least and would make our wallets look prettier.

In any case, not much has changed for me and my GLX activities. I'll keep my staked assets staked and for now, at least, I'll continue depending on GLX token for sustenance while hoping that the teething problems are kept to a minimum and also that there's no mega dumping on the horizon.
