Grandmaster Rathe enters my collection

I'm pleased to say that Grandmaster rathe is now a part of my Splinterlands collection. In the recent airdrop, I was fortunate to receive three normal editions of the monster.

I would have liked to get a gold foiled version of the Grandmaster but it didn't work out. In any case, the normal foiled version is also pretty awesome to have in my collection.

Less than 24 hours ago, I talked about how there were 30k packs left to be purchased. Those packs sold out really fast and here we are today.

It is interesting how the Splinterlands market works, in the general scheme of things. Moving from zero to one million packs had two distinct periods. The "first phase" of the one million pack sale was the initial 900K packs that moved relatively slower and then the final phase of the remaining 100k packs sold out in the space of three days.

More airdrops on the way

At the time of writing, there are still 5 more chaos legion legendary summoners to be released, so that means another 5 million chaos legion packs to be sold out in the game.

It is highly unlikely that I will be adding more packs to the 1011 that I've already gotten in the past. I am quite poor and besides that, $4k+ has already gone towards packs, so that should be enough.

@olebulls also mentioned that based on the total number of packs I purchased, I am certainly going to receive at least one of all the future legendary summoner airdrops. That's really awesome news that I wasn't even aware of.

Plans for the Grandmaster

Well, after receiving the grandmaster, I moved the monster to my wife's account to continue growing my personal deck. The collection power of that account continues to grow through airdrops and some purchases.

I've used the Grandmaster in battle and I'm yet to win any battle. The players in the bronze league are really tough and the margin there is so tiny because everybody is at level 1.

Since I received three Grandmaster Rathe, I am also considering just combining them and putting them to work in the rental market. At the time of writing, a level 2 Grandmaster could be rented out for as much as 94 DEC per day, according to Peakmonsters.

At the current price, there's really no reason to sell the Grandmaster summoner because it has a lot of potential. At higher levels, combining the Grandmaster with Shieldbearer, monsters with "repair" ability and one cleanse, you will have an unstoppable team.
