Hive-engine and GLX thoughts

It took a while but the hive I withdrew from Hive-engine finally entered my wallet. However, I must add that it came at a time when I took a loan from a friend to cover the plans I intended to handle with the said hive.

There's still some level of panic due to Hive-engine's delay and I reckon a decent number of people would have lost trust in the project. Now, I know that the "DEX" isn't going anywhere but I've also learnt not to be reliant on it for quick cash.

In the future, I'll be giving myself at least 48 hours room before I withdraw anything from hive engine. This way, I'll avoid any disappointment it can cause.

Speaking of disappointment, the delay to release Hive from Hive-engine also caused me to lose a healthy chunk of value due to the market. At the time I withdrew, Hive was trading at 35 cents but when it finally got to my wallet about 12 hours later, the asset was trading at 31 cents.

For me, at least, this translates to a 4 cents loss on each hive. Luckily it was only a couple of hundred Hive but imagine how much loss I would have accumulated if it were thousands of hive.

What interests me is the fact that there has still not been any public statement about the issue and if this persists, it is safe to assume that this is the new norm. I don't know about you but I don't think I want to continue using a platform that takes hours to give me my own funds.

It is important to add that some people have used Hive-engine and have not experienced the issue with @onealfa and @cwow2 both having transactions that went normally

GLX Thoughts

GLX token is one of many Hive-engine assets and is actually a project that is affiliated to the creators of the exchange. Despite the challenges surrounding the exchange where it is traded, the token is still one of the most lucrative assets to stake on Hive.

At the current price, there's really no reason not to buy and stake a small stack. It might not exactly be where it tough to be but that's just a sign of the times and not something to bother ourselves with.

For me though, I'd be hoping for some sort of short term pump that could get me over the line of my attempt to leave Nigeria. There are still a couple of months between now and September, so a healthy pump will absolutely be welcomed.
