I didn't get a gold foil but I can live with that

When I'm not fantasizing about a bull market, you can often catch me fantasizing about gold foils. I really don't want to get into too many details but every time I get a gold foil legendary, there's a distinct reduction in global warming.
Now that it has been established that gold foils in my Splinterlands portfolio is good for the climate, we have to ask ourselves why I don't get many of them. Again, what is important to note is that I don't have to explain why, you just have to accept that I'm saying the truth because I don't lie.
I was hoping we'd actually receive two chaos legion summoners at once but the Splinterlands team had other ideas. They wanted to shit on my prediction, so they released the Immortalis summoner today.
Bad for the climate
Well, here's what we know so far; Splinterlands doesn't like the climate but at least I got three normal foils. Now, it is decision-making time for me and I'm in no rush to make it.
I received a gold foil Possiblus and after trying it out a few games, I concluded that I don't need it in my deck. I'm having a different feeling about Immortalis earth summoner and considering just keeping it in my collection.
As you probably already know, three normal foils can combine to form a level 2 legendary summoner and that's good enough for the Silver league that I'm currently stuck in. I could easily level up this summoner and use it in battle because it has buffs that I think could come in handy.
Immediately I saw the summoner, I thought of different rule sets and battle scenarios that I could really put it to work and fancied the idea of having it in my collection. So I'm really considering it.
Surprisingly, the summoner is priced quite low in the Splinterlands market. At the time of writing, it is the cheapest legendary chaos legion summoner. At the time of writing, you can grab one copy for as low as $8.5 and that reinforces the feeling to hold on.
At such a low price, I don't see much benefit in actually putting it on the market right now. Hell, I'm even tempted to add more to my collection but I'm a little bit too poor to consider that kind of move.
Still grateful
At the end of the day, I'm still mighty grateful for the airdrop. $25.5 worth of assets for "free" is a pleasant way to start the year in Splinterlands. I either have a nice addition to my collection or sell to generate funds that I'll probably just use to buy SPS tokens.
It has been a shaky start to the year but that can be expected considering how bad things were at the end of last year. Starting a new year doesn't magically erase all the pain of last year, and as far as the crypto market goes, we're still drowning in pain.

Bulldog1205, hawks21 and infidel are quite influential for the opinions of players and investors and all three of them weren’t very positive about the new summoner.
But who knows, there might be a new rewards card coming that changes things. Or a new ruleset.
At this low price it might be a good idea to buy some copies indeed. Before the sps hype I bought 3 Camilla sungazer copies for $5 each. That was the cheapest legendary summoner at the time. I combined it to a level 2 which is still worth a lot more than $15.
I love this summoner because is great and I believe people will appreciate it more with time

True, Possibilus is "less interesting" to play. I only use it a few times when in rulesets that only rely on Melee monsters (However, my first choice is still Mylor in those rulesets).
