I made my first GLG sale and I can't see it

At this initial stage of the development of the game, it is safe to expect that there will be a lot of niggling problems. Some of the problems will have far-reaching effects and others will just be on the surface.

In the not-so-distant past, we already experienced the GLG exploit that led to the price of GLX token being compromised. This market manipulation was carried out to take advantage of the system and buy validator nodes.

It is important to state that while I will regularly talk about the issues with the system, I am doing it from a good place. Why would I want to talk down on a project that I am heavily invested in? The aim of criticism and sometimes just stating observation is because we want improvement.

Anyway, yesterday I talked about the trading activities in the recently launched P2P NFT marketplace in GLG. At the time, there was roughly $1500 24-hour trading volume but that value has dropped dramatically since then.

I must admit that I found the trading volume to be unusually high considering that there's actually no game to play. Yes, some cards will be valuable because they pass the eye test but that's hardly enough reason to generate the level of trading activity we have now.

At the time of writing, the 24-hour trading volume is still a bit over $1000 and again, I think that is quite high. Beyond just perception, it is possible that some players have an idea of how these assets will behave in the game and they're loading up on the assets they'll rely on.

Made my first sale

I have little to no idea about how the game dynamics will look like and for whatever little it is worth, it is for want of trying. I am going to stay quietly in the dark until it is my time to actually play the game and I'll enjoy it when it eventually comes out.

In any case, I put some of my cards on the market since launch and I finally got my first sale, albeit only a couple of dollars. I woke up to the pleasant surprise of $1.9 GLUSD in my wallet today and I have to say, it felt good.

For me, the victory isn't necessarily about the amount of money I received but more so about the fact that there is liquidity in the card market. It was one of my cheaper cards that sold but I only know it is cheap because that's what someone else valued it at and so I followed suit.

The problem is, I don't even know which card got sold and there's no in-game mechanism to track it. I reckon that this feature and other features that will make navigating the marketplace will be on the cards in future updates.
