I missed the legendary monster airdrop....again

We have finally gotten to the end of the second round of the Chaos legion pack sale. The sale didn't go as fast as I thought it would but it didn't do so bad either, considering that almost 2 million packs have been sold in total.

I must admit, it's a little bit of a bummer that the next round of sales doesn't start immediately but that's okay.

The wait gives everyone some time to gather themselves and stack tokens for the purchases.

It's left to be seen how fast these packs will sell. Many predicted it will be gone in a matter of weeks, I personally think it'll span two months.

The general market situation makes for pleasant reading. Different assets are rebounding from their previous lows and well, it turns out we're not going to zero after all.

As the market continues to heal and assets start gaining on the dollar again, we might see a bit more money being pumped into Splinterlands. That has the potential to hasten the next round of sales.

No Airdrop for me

I was a bit sad not to get any of the airdrops from the latest releases but that's just where we are in the game now. The level of competition is insane and you just have to level up, if you want to stand any chance of benefiting from the game.

I had 62 eligible packs and that wasn't enough. On another day, I would have had some luck.

Anyway, the plan now is to level up and make a push for something bigger. Go for gold, if you may.

I'll be going four times harder during the general sale. My plan is to purchase 1k packs over the course of the sale. Right now, I don't even have enough funds but it will come out from somewhere, it always does.

I'm not going to lie though, missing out on the airdrop was very painful. I hoped that I'd at least get one of them but it didn't work out.

Recovery is upon us

On a positive note, we're on the road to recovery. DEC is slowly climbing up the ladder and the price of SPS also looks healthy.

I hope things can continue to proceed in this direction. This will facilitate my chance of buying one thousand packs during the general sale.

If we can get DEC back to trading at the $0.01 range or maybe even get SPS to the 80 cents range like it used to be, I'll be in a very solid position to buy enough packs to achieve my dream.

The price of voucher tokens is going to be another interesting thing to study, particularly during the course of the general sale.

For people that aren't buying hundreds or thousands of packs at a go, there's really no need for vouchers. However, the rich kids will be using quite a lot of vouchers in the coming round.

Right now, each voucher costs about half the price of a Chaos Legion pack in the market. With the level of competition in the game, I suspect that quite a number of people will be needing vouchers, and with supply dramatically reduced, will there be enough?

I suspect this might lead to a corresponding rise in the price of each voucher token. During the general sale at least, I expect voucher price to slightly rise. SOmewhere in the $3 range.

Technically speaking, each voucher is still equivalent to one pack. However, unlike before where bonus packs were free, now vouchers are equivalent to bonus packs.

So I'm set for the first 250 packs and that's a quarter of the way through my journey to buy 1k packs. I hope my plan works out and I get decent monsters in the packs that will enable me to redirect funds towards another 250 packs.

Nothing is set in stone though, so we just have to see how it goes. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed, so I don't miss out on the next airdrop and I also get decent monsters.
