My first major earning on Splinterlands

The past couple of days have been difficult, particularly because of my shitty health but Splinterlands offered me some respite in an otherwise horrible day. In recent times, my Splinterlands rewards have largely been shit, and so despite buying a few packs here and there, I haven't actually gotten a draw that was substantial.

I've been looking out for a decent draw for a couple of reasons, and top of the list is the little matter of collection power that will presumably take effect from next season. According to the new rules, I'll probably be able to be within the Gold 1/Diamond 3 range because my total collection power falls around 280k Dec. The collection power is basically an estimate of the burn value of all your playable cards(owned and leased).

So, getting higher simply means getting more cards, and while I've been trying to do that, I have also been trying to take out a tiny but of profit to reward myself for toiling all these months.

I had put my Gold foiled mimosa Nightshade on sell for the best part of two months, but no one had indicated interest until I took a risk and just reduced her price to $65, to which someone jumped at it. That also represents my biggest ever sale since I started the game and hopefully, more to come.

The good news didn't end there, because, remember that I said that the cards at your disposal affect your collection power. In a surprising twist of fate for the better, I struck literal gold in one of the untamed packs I bought and got me another gold foiled legendary, which may have lower market value than Mimosa but has the standard 50k DEC burn rate for all legendary gold foils.

So that means despite selling mimosa nightshade, I basically stayed in the same rank with my collection point and actually took a few steps towards 300k DEC because I also picked up some Rare Gold Foils and a few of them Azmarare dudes. Since I have a level 2 Gold Foiled vigilator, I'll be selling the basic one I had since and just use this one for battle permanently.
