Plots, LVL and the window

If you're looking to strike some good deals in the crypto market, the best time was ten years ago but the second-best time is right now. As long as there's life, there's hope and that comes with the opportunity to maximise your potential.

Right now, virtually every asset in the market is being sold at a discount. This trend has seeped into virtually every product that's reliant on blockchain technology, so Splinterlands wasn't immune.

In this period, the price of assets, mostly NFTs in the game have experienced a slump in price. One of such assets is the price of land in the game.

Ever since the mint price of about $20 or so, the price of land has been heading up. I don't know the ATH but I know it crossed $800.

In recent times, the price of land in Splinterlands has dropped dramatically. This is because of the lack of attention that area of the game has received in recent times.

The expansion of SPlinterlands is still very well in the pipes, evident in the roadmap and conversations on the discord. However, for now at least, the emphasis is on marketing and the development of the new set of monsters in the game.

The drop in the price of Plots is a neat opportunity to make sweet gains in the future. I sold my plot for a quick profit but I'll be buying it back eventually, and at a much lower price than I sold.

When the expansion comes around, each plot in the game is going to cost a whole lot more than any ATH it has set in the past. When you look around and compare splinterlands with similar projects that are not even nearly as functional as Splinterlands, you'll find that the price of land could easily quintuple any previously set ATH.

LVL quiet again

I know talking about LVL tokens might be a bit counter-productive for me, particularly because I actually want the price of the token to drop, I feel like it is also my responsibility to mention it.

Just like Plots in Splinterlands, the price of LVL token has been dumping slowly because of a lack of hype. The initial hype corresponded with a nice pump but that has dissipated somewhat to where we are today.

Just like SPlinterlands plots, I don't think the price of LVL is anywhere close to where it can be and beyond the release of the game at the end of the year, we'll start seeing some serious upward price action.

In the coming weeks, expect the price to drop even further because of the relative calm. If you're reading this post, keep an eye out for that token, pick your moment and ape when it's convenient. Well, that's exactly what I'm going to do.

Right now, I'm actually stretched a bit because of my involvement in multiple projects. Splinterlands packs are still on my mind, with at least 400 packs left to buy before I reach my target of 1,000 packs.

I also have to reach the 200K LVL goal as soon as possible, so I can get me some of those crates. As the price continues to drop, my window of opportunity grows larger.

I'm also in between a rock and a hard place because when the price of assets drop, my income also drops, thus making it harder for me to scrape up funds to reinvest. My only hope is to catch swings at the top, squeeze out some stables and then wait to ape in whenever the price drops again.

I have 300k LVL right now and my goal is 1 million. I check the LVL price every day. I am not familiar with all Splinterlands assets, but I reckon that there may be opportunities as you stated. I bought and sold Alpha and Beta packs in the past, and I am bullish on SPS.

I'm not sure the price of land is just going to increase. There are 100k plots of land coming that people have purchased and stored away without knowing what kind of land they have or what its future value will be. We often overpay for unknown potential.

It will be interesting to see what happens when tracts are broken up and each plot goes from being a generic plot to a specific landscape that is common, rare, epic, or legendary. We also still need to see how resource intensive it is to run land efficiently. Many may have land but don't have the resources to run it.

Ultimately, people haven't been willing to part with their generic "plots", while tracts require the buyer to have $50k+ liquid to buy them, so there's been very little on the market and price has been able to soar with a small amount of demand. Not sure if that stays the case after the release. I hope it does.
