Splinterlands on my mind

I've barely had time to catch a break but in my spare time, I always try to check out what goes on in Splinterlands. It is a platform that I feel I'll be eternally bonded with and so, I always want to know what goes on.

To ensure I always stay in the loop, I even have a small stack of SPS token still staked, despite my attempt to raise funds for our relocation. Even thought we're here and I've started working, I don't feel quite settled in, so I still need the funds but I've refrained from selling.

There's been a lot going on in Splinterlands in recent times and keeping up with activities is proving to be more difficult than I envisaged. Throw in my schedule these days and you'll understand how difficult it actually is to keep track of activities.

The bear market that seems to never end has had a detrimental effect on the price of Splinterlands assets. In fact, at this point, I wonder if it's even worthwhile to call it a bear market anymore.

If you weren't around during the bull market of yesteryears, you probably won't be feeling too downcast about the state of the market. For those that have seen the market in a much healthier position, today's prices are very underwhelming.

I reckon this is as good as any time to invest in Splinterlands assets but the issue, as I mentioned at the start of the post is that I actually don't have any loose cash to throw at the project. I am penny pinching my way through the weeks and doing my utmost to ensure survival.

I've also been working a job that is very tedious and barely gives me any extra time to do anything else. I get back home very exhausted and I doubt I'll have the mental energy to handle a Splinterlands match.

I have certain targets that I have to meet by October, so, my best bet is that I'll be able to get involved with the game sometime in early November. At that point, I will hopefully have sorted out my October targets and will have properly adjusted to the rigours of this job or gotten a different job that isn't as physically tasking.

I'll also have to investigate the Splinterlands market to decide which assets I'll be buying or renting, as I navigate my way back into the game. Every decision I make towards purchasing assets has to be well thought out and methodical.

Unlike the past where I'd buy some assets simply because of the art or other reasons beyond utility, this time, I'll have to be very intentional. Every single monster I add to my collection has to offer a certain level of utility to my collection with all the rulesets and recent changes to the game considered.

There is quite a lot that I have to consider, so I'll need time and plenty effort to decide. It'll be a slow and meticulous return but one that I reckon will be fruitful in the long run.

There is always time for a bit of splinterlands. Mobile, on the bus or Tube.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I do a cumulative 60 minutes of traveling, that's enough time for a couple of battles.
