This is how I improved my Splinterlands deck with $15

I made a big error by converting HBD directly to credit. In my previous publication, I discussed why converting Hive to Splinterlands credit is much better than converting HBD.

Anyway, I noticed that there was yet another drop in the value of monsters in the Splinterlands market. I figured I might as well just throw in a couple of dollars into the market.

$15 isn't really a lot of money, so I didn't have big plans for the money. However, the plan was that just like the last time I invested $25 into my personal deck, I'd just do something similar to a different Splinter.

This time, I focused on the fire splinter and just like the Life SPlinter in my $25 "splurge", I got the Chaos Legion fire Summoner up to level 2 and then added a couple of other monsters to the collection.

Naturally, the summoner ate up a decent chunk of my $25 budget, but I still managed to get in some decent monsters into my collection. Remember that the plan is to eventually battle my way up into the Silver leagues.

Another part of the long term plan for these small purchases is to steadily build a well balanced deck that will compete favourably and not just simply survive. I have an ambitious plan for my Splinterlands deck that I'd like to see come to existence months or years from now.

So what did I add to my deck, you ask? Great question, here are the monsters that I was able to add to my fire Splinter with $15

  • 3 Tarsa(fire summoner)
  • 5 Tenyii Striker
  • 5 radiated Scorcher
  • 5 Djinn Apprentice
  • 5 molten Ash Golem
  • 1 Lava launcher
  • 1 Magi of chaos
  • 4 Gargoya devil
  • 1 Tusk the wide
  • 14 BCX Disintegrator(I actually bought it at level 3)
  • 11 Gargoya Lion

The purchase boosted my personal collection power by 900 points. This got my total collection power to 8760, which only enables my personal deck to battle in Bronze 1.

The last time I splurged in the market, I spent about $25, and was able to boost my collection power pointS by 1k. Note that that splurge, I added the legendary soul fiend to my collection.

What I'm saying is that as the market value of monsters continues to drop, increasing your collection power and getting those monsters that will improve your deck becomes much easier.

So, if you're in the process of building a competitive deck, you should regularly watch the NFT monster market. Personally, I use Peakmonsters to keep track of activities.

Another important thing to observe is how the SPS airdrop influences the market value of monsters in the game. The insane surge in the price of assets launched when it was revealed that your deck's collection point contributes to the amount of SPS tokens you receive every day.

So, with the SPS airdrop slowly coming to an end, it is very likely that we'll see the value of monsters and related assets start dropping. However, I could be wrong, so that's why you should always keep tabs on the market.

In any case, I intend to make regular purchases that will improve my deck and give me a fighting chance of slugging it out with the big boys, someday in the future.

I'm really surprised to see that you were able to get all those cards for $15 worth of credits. I may have to investigate myself. although I think I'll wait until the airdrop ends.
