End of Season Rewards and Chaos Legion update

It's been 18 days since my last post, so I figured I would give a quick update on my Splinterlands journey. I'll also talk about my strategy for Chaos Legion.

End of Season Rewards:
I had 12 chests to open. Overall, they were pretty disappointing. I got one rare card.

Chaos Legion Packs:
I bought 4 packs in the Chaos Legion pre-sale. I had an 8% chance to get a Doctor Blight. Unsurprisingly, I didn't get one. I had pretty good luck in opening the first 4 Chaos Legion packs including 2 rare gold foil cards. I ended up with 7 rare cards, but no Epic or Legendary. I would have liked an Epic or Legendary card, but I was happy with the gold foil cards.

Chaos Legion Strategy:

My original strategy was to sell the 8 estimated vouchers I will get in the airdrop and wait for the public sale to purchase more packs. Adding 8 packs to the 4 I already purchased won't give me a huge advantage in getting the airdrop cards, so I'll focus on adding to my collection by increasing the number of packs I purchase. Now that the price of vouchers has dropped under $4, I will hold on to vouchers and see if I can purchase 100 or more packs and use the vouchers for bonus packs. I sold most of my DEC immediately after they announced you would have to use credits to buy packs. My thinking was people have been siting on DEC since it is part of the SPS airdrop with the thought they could use it to buy packs when the time comes. Since credits are the only way to purchase packs, I expect DEC will continue to drop until the Chaos Legion public sale as DEC is liquidated for credits. I currently have $270 worth of credits which I plan to turn into packs. My goal is to convert some other Hive assets to get to $400 before the public sale. I'll open 90% or so of the packs for battles and hold the others as an investment.

I'm still working my way back to silver after the season end.

Here are my airdrop stats:

Converting my DEC to credits really hurt my airdrop points. I did purchase some SPT and delegated it to monster-curator for additional rewards. I'm interested to see how that investment pays off in SPT and airdrop points.
