Fan Art: Top clam shell cups inspired by the coastal nymph (Eng - Esp)
Greetings yarn and needlework loving community I wish you an excellent week together with your loved ones, I am happy to share with you my first Fan Art for Splinterlands, inspired by the card Coastal Nymph, an ocean fighter; the project is a top (swimsuit top) with clam-shaped cups joined by a starfish, these are turquoise and the straps and star are purple; ideal to go to the beach with a beautiful top, the bottom strap is adjustable and is tied at the back.
Saludos comunidad amante de los hilos y la agujas les deseo una excelente semana en unión de sus seres queridos, me siento feliz de compartir con ustedes mi primer Fan Art para Splinterlands, inspirado en la carta Ninfa Costera, una luchadora del océano; el proyecto se trata de un top (parte superior del traje de baño) con las copas en forma de almeja unidas por una estrella de mar, estas son de color turquesa y las tiras y estrella de color púrpura; ideal para ir a la playa con hermoso top, la tira inferior es ajustable y se amarra en la parte trasera.

I started by marking the pieces in double fabric, I also cut the strips that will go on the top and bottom.
Inicié marcando las piezas en tela doble, también corté las tiras que irán en la parte superior e inferior.
I folded the strips right sides together, sewed with a straight stitch and with the help of a safety pin I turned them over.
Doblé enfrentadas por el derecho las tiras, cosí con puntada recta y con ayuda de un alfiler (imperdible) volteé.
Once the strips were sewn, I placed one on the top of each clam and pinned, then sewed with a straight stitch using the clam mold as a guide, leaving an opening of 1.5 centimeters at the bottom, which will be to pass the strip that holds the top in the back, I also sewed the outline of the star.
Cosidas las tiras, puse una en la parte superior de cada almeja y sujeté con alfileres, luego cosí con puntada recta usando como guía el molde de la almeja, dejando una abertura de 1,5 centímetros en la parte inferior, la cual será para pasar la tira que sujeta el top en la espalda, cosí también el contorno de la estrella.
Then I cut the excess fabric with the zigzag scissors to the cups and the star, to give a different style and a better finish to the cups; since the seam is on the outside.
Luego corté el exceso de tela con la tijera zigzag a las copas y la estrella, para darle un estilo diferente y un mejor acabado a las copas; ya que la costura está por fuera.
To finish, I joined the cups by hand stitching the points of the star, making them coincide with the center of the clams, then with the safety pin and with great care I passed the lower strip through the openings mentioned above, so the top inspired by the coastal nymph is finished.
Para finalizar, uní las copas cosiendo con puntada a mano las puntas de la estrella haciendo coincidir estas con el centro de las almejas, luego con el imperdible y con mucho cuidado pasé la tira inferior por las aberturas mencionadas, así está terminado el top inspirado en la ninfa costera.
I am happy to have finished this project, it looks beautiful and flirty, the colors match very well; also the fabric is soft and with the right elongation and thickness for this type of attire, swimsuits usually have a lining, this time I did not use a lining and I used double fabric.
Me siento feliz por haber terminado este proyecto, se ve hermoso y coqueto, los colores combinan muy bien; además la tela es suave y con la elongación y grosor adecuados para este tipo de atuendos, los trajes de baño suelen llevar un forro , en esta ocasión no coloqué forro y usé tela doble.

Saludos @lauramica, me alegra que te haya gustado el top, forma parte de una colección con temática playera para una amiga, nunca había visto un traje de baño en forma de almeja, inicialmente serían estrellas las que formarían las copas, pero luego de tomar varias medidas, no logramos dar con el tamaño adecuado que le cubriera los senos, la almeja fue la mejor opción y la carta fue la gran protagonista para concretar la idea.
Es ajustable y queda muy bien, en lo personal me gustó la combinación de colores se ve genial.
