Hello dear fellow SplinterLands players.

Another exciting weekly battle challenge for this amazing game and in this post I will tell you which cards I used, my strategy and the result of the battle.

And here we go.

This week's theme are "DRAGONS".

Unlike what usually happens in most weekly challenges, in which you draw a card to participate in a battle, this week we have the possibility to build our team with a whole class of monsters, in this case Dragons.

In reality the team could not be assembled only with Dragons, because, as you know, when you choose to assemble a team with Dragons, you have the possibility to complete the team with cards of any of the other elements that are available in the battle.

The Dragons monster class is really amazing and has some great possibilities to build a very competitive team, especially when mixed with another element you can form great combos, and all this without forgetting that you can still use cards of the neutral element, that is, 3 types of cards to build your team.

To participate in this week's challenge I decided to use 3 Dragon cards to build my team: Summoner Drake of Arnark, Naga Assassin and Dragon Spirit, whose strategy I will discuss below.

My current battle status is 1,652 rating and I'm in the "Silver III" league, so those are the characteristics of the Battle Weekly Challenge, and the choice of battle rules was as follows:

The battle had a mana cap of 18 and was only blocked by the earth element, which my opponent used in the last 4 battles.

Anyway, analyzing his last teams, I verified that he usually used Mylor as summoner, followed by Unicorn Mustang and Wood Nymph in most of the matches.

Considering the low mana cap and the new Chaos Legion cards with low mana cost, my strategy was to insert as many monsters as possible in the game, setting up a team, in the initial part, with almost no damage and only life evasion, and in the final part, monsters with range attack.

So the formation of my team was as follows:

Drake of Arnak as summoner, choosing the water element in conjunction with my dragon team.

Dragon Spirit, because, although it has no attack damage, it has 5 speed and 6 life at a cost of only 3 mana cap
Albatross, just to complete team and resist an attack.
Chaos Agent, also for resisting attacks.
Naga assassin, for his attack range and his 5 speed points
Angelic Mandarin, also for its attack range and its high health (5)
And at the end, Kulu swimhunter for the attack range, 2 speed and 4 life

So the battle beggins.

Round 1:

As the earth element was blocked in this battle my opponent chose the water element to set up his team, which was composed of the following monsters: Sea Monster, Deeplurker and Furios Chicken.

The battle began with my team's attack, and all my cards attacked the Sea Monster, which had only its armor and 1 life point reduced at the end of the round.

The opponents' attacks were, by the Sea Monster, on my Dragon Sea, and, by DeepLurker, on the Albatross, finishing both of them with their armor.

Round 2:

Again, all my creatures attacked the Sea Monster, which, from a life of 7 at the beginning of the round, ended up with a life of 5, a reduction of only 2 due to its Heal ability and its ability to recover life.

My albatross was defeated by Deeplurker's attack and the Dragon Spirit took 4 damage from the Sea Monster.

Round 3:

Another round takes place with all my creatures attacking the opposing Sea Monster, this time ending the round with 3 points and life.

My Albatross and Dragon Spirit were defeated by attacks from DeepLurker and Sea Monster respectively.

Round 4:

The battle was really close, and by my calculations, Sea Monster would be defeated in this round, not least because my ranged creatures would not miss their attacks in the face of the battle rule.

And the defeat of Sea Monster really happened, even before his attack, which was very good for the direction of the battle towards a victory.

On the other hand, my Chaos Agent was defeated by DeepLurker's attack.

Round 5:

Deep Lurker attacked the Naga assisin, removing its armor, and my Angelic Mandarin and Kulu Swimhunter attacked the Deeplurker, removing its armor and reducing 2 of its life.

The battle was well underway for me.

Round 6:

Deeplurker defeats Naga Assassin, and soon after is attacked by Kulu Swimhunter, causing his life to drop by 2. So, by my calculations, the victory was certainly already mine.

Round 7:
image.png

Deep Lurker was defeated in this round, the victory was mine, leaving only furious chiken, but no new attacks from my opponent.

That was quite a victory.

As you could see, the battle was very hard fought and lasted several turns, and in the end I got a great victory.

I have been using the Dragon class a lot in my battles, especially after being awarded with Djinn Chwala in a daily quest, which helped me a lot, because it is undoubtedly a great card with great functionality, which I only did not use in this battle for its high cost of 8 mana.

I hope you enjoyed it and thank you for reading.
