Hello Splinterlands community, how are you? I hope so!

Here together again for another post about the weekly Splinterlands battle challenge.

We'll delve into the theme card of the week, its abilities, uses, and then talk about the battle performed.

So here we go

This week's theme is "FERAL SPIRIT".

This is a common life card with 1 point of attack, 4 points of speed and 2 points of life at a cost of 3 mana points to be summoned.

Just for its status, in this case, attack point, speed and life, Feral Spirit has a good cost benefit in relation to its mana cost of 3 points, but there is still a great differential, or an additional to such that is the Sneak ability that is standard in Feral Spirit from the first level.

With this skill he is able to attack from any position, although he has melee attack, and will aim at the last monster of the opposing team, which is often a weak monster, instead of the first monster which is usually a tank.

Another positive point of Feral Spirit is its high speed of 4 points, which makes it perform one of the first attacks each round, thus being able to damage or even defeat an opposing creature without it attacking.

Feral Spirit was a starter card before the Chaos Legion Pack, and since I don't have it, I had to rent it from the marketplace for the low cost of 0.10 DEC to participate in the

My current battle status is 159 rating and I'm in the "Bronze III" league, so those are the characteristics of the Battle Weekly Challenge, and the choice of battle rules was as follows:

image.png

The battle had no rules and I had 20 mana cap points.

My opponent in his last 5 battles used the water element team, formed largely with melee attack cards, so there was a great possibility that this would also be repeated against me.

So, considering this possibility I decided to set up my team with the following formation:

  • Mother Khala to grant one life point to all my creatures.
  • Shieldbearer to be the strong tank and resist the opponent's attacks.
  • Stitch Leech for his sneak ability.
  • Scavo Hireling to recover my tanker's armor and
  • Feral Spirit to participate in the challenge and also for his sneak ability.

So the battle beggins.

Round 1:

As I had imagined my opponent chose the water element team and presented himself on the battlefield with Serpent of Eld as tanker, Merdaali Guardian as support to heal his tank and, in the last position of the team, Deeplurker to do aggressive damage.

The battle started with the Serpent of Eld attacking my Shieldbearer, and then the Feral Spirit attacking the Deeplurker.

Then Shieldbearer attacked Serpent of Eld, and finally Stitch Leech attacked Deeplurker.

Round 2:

Nothing new in the second round, with it following the same dynamic with the same attacks as the previous round.

Round 3:

The third round started with Deeplurker having only 3 life points, so if he didn't miss any attacks, he would be defeated that turn.

And, after all the same dynamics as the two previous rounds, he was defeated with the last attack of my stitch leech.

Victory was well on its way for me already, since it was now a game of 3 attack cards against 1.

Round 4:
image.png

The fourth round went a different way, as the Serpent of Eld was attacked by my Shieldbearer, and the Merdaali Guardin was attacked by Stitch Leech and Feral Spirit, ending the round with only 1 life point.

Round 5:
image.png

The fifth round saw the defeat of the Merdaali Guardin and the Serpent of Eld ended it with only 3 life points.

Round 6:

Feral Spirit and Shildbearer miss their attacks 😓, prolonging the battle for another round.

But the victory was already mine.

Round 7:

And the battle ended in the seventh and final round.

It was a good battle.

I'm suspicious to say, since the life team is my favorite team in Splinterlands, but Feral Spirit was a card I used a lot before the Chaos Legion Pack.

It is a very versatile card, with high speed, capable of doing good damage to the last opposing creature, which can be seen in the battle narrated in this post.

What I can say is that it is a great creature that certainly makes a great help in life decks and for sure I will renew its rent to continue using it.

Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed it.
