The Divine Shield and Shield up Strategy in Low Mana Rule (Life)

(Edited)

Hi everyone! In the recent patch of Splinterlands the default cards changes and some card strategies are not the same anymore but as we know if some are lost then new ones will be made. In this post I'll be focusing the low mana strategy where it will take 2-3 damage receive even the health of a card is only one. First card that I'll be discussing is the summoner Lorna Shine.

Lorna Shine is a summoner with only 3 mana cost and gives all friendly monsters the Divine shield ability at the start of the battle. This is the winning card of low mana battles because it nulls the first damage which is great because in low mana rule there are limited of cards to be played. The second game winning card is Truthspeaker.

Truthspeaker have the ability Protect which gives all friendly Monsters +2 armor. This card also is essential especially when your opponent is not using any magic type of monsters because armor protects Monsters' health first and it nulls the extra damage dealt by the opponents' Monsters.

These four cards are the options for the front card that will take damage first. The Furious chicken, Gargoya Scrapper and Soul fiend are more likely the sacrificial cards where in the early rounds they will take 2-3 turn damages from the opponents side and it will be a great help because the other cards will likely go for a free hit on the opponents' monsters. The Pelacor Conjurer is an option where this card can take more than or equal to 3 turn damages and sometimes the opponents' monsters misses because of the ability of the Pelacor Conjurer which is Flying, this ability has an increased chance to evade Melee or range monsters' attack who do not have the flying ability. As you can see the mana costs of this cards are so low and that is good because we can use this as an advantage to gain more damage Monster cards.

These four cards are the damage cards and the composition of the team. Stitch leech is an essential card, this card will backdoor opponents' Monsters because of the Sneak ability which it targets the last opponents' Monsters instead of the front Monster and this monster just have 3 mana costs, that is huge because you can save more mana for using other cards. Time mage is an optional Card because if the mana requirements are just 14 below it will be not enough for the other cards, Time mage ability is good where it Reduces the Speed of all enemy's Monsters, this ability is good combo with Pelacor Conjurer and Celestial Harpy because if the enemy monsters' speed is reduces the Flying ability will have more Evasion probability for melee and range monsters. Dax Paragon is a good filler for the team and only have 2 mana costs, also it is a magic type of monsters where it directly damages health of the enemy's monsters instead of the armor. Celestial Harpy have two abilities the Flying ability and Opportunity where this card will target the most low health enemy's monster, this card is good for backline because of its ability flying that have the chance to evade damages especially if the enemy have a monster that has Sneak ability.

The position of the cards will be the Front which is Furious chicken, Gargoya Scrapper, Soul fiend, or Pelacor Conjurer. The second to third will be Dax Paragon and Stitch Leech/ Time Mage (optional). The fourth will be Truthspeaker and if you have extra mana you can put some filler card and for the last card will be Celestial Harpy.

Hope you enjoyed my content and learned something. This kind of strategy is always optional and there are rules that will counter this kind of strategy. This is also my first post hope that it is informational and will help to play more effectively. Have a good day!
