I am excited about the future of Splinterlands for a number of reasons, two of the largest being: Increased ability to earn crypto and evolving game mechanics.

There have been a number of additional ways to earn mentioned in various AMAs, such as SPS from brawls, Land Rentals, Resource collection from land, and most recently vouchers.

Splinterlands continues to evolve with the addition of new cards, abilities, and mechanics. Each new summoner added to the game can shift the meta and shake up the game. Land will likely add a whole new element of play to the game, especially if PVE ever was implemented.
