SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge! GIANT ROC
This is the entry post for "SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge! GIANT ROC" organized by Splinterlands. You can participate even if you do not have themed card.
This is my battle video from youtube.
Tell us about your lineup. Explain why you put each card in that position and why they are a good fit with the GIANT ROC.
|Summoner||Malric Interno||+1 Melee Damage|
|Position 1||Serpent of the Flame||Retaliate, Poison|
|Position 2||Giant Roc||Flying, Reach|
|Position 3||Flame Monkey||Repair|
|Position 4||Elven Cutthroat||Sneak|
|Position 5||Creeping Ooze||Slow|
|Position 6||Furious Chicken||None|
Battle rules are Target Practice and Heavy Hitters. I normally chose melee attack monster for this kind of battle. I want to avoid their Snipe attacks. Another reason I am doing the Sneak quest so I need to chose a monster with Sneak ability.
I think my opponent will focus on his ranged or magic attack monsters so I decided to make a frontal attack. So I chose Serpent of the Flame + Giant Roc combination because Poison can ignore Shield ability. I reinforced them with Flame Monkey to repair the armor of Serpent of the Flame.
I also choose Elven Cutthroat for my quest and Creeping Ooze to Slow down my opponent's monsters. Finally I added Furious Chicken as a scapegoat.
Serpent of the Flame + Giant Roc combination is good for frontal attack. Giant Roc has Trample ability at Level 6 and he is unstoppable at this level.
Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?
Yes. My strategy works. I will use together with Dragon Splinter in the battle rule like earth quake.
Do you like the GIANT ROC? Why or why not?
I like Gian Roc. It is working very well with Serpent of the Flame. It is an old timer. It is old but still good. I think you still remember glory day of Giant Roc. As I remember SL adds Reach ability as an additional ability. Previously there is no Reach ability in Giant Roc. At that time a lots of people are playing Giant Roc and other monsters with Reach ability.
