Weekly Chronicles: Challenges and Triumphs in Splinterlands' Counterspell Battles

If you haven't joined the weekly battle challenge yet, you can join this from here. Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge! You still have two more days to go. 😅 Good luck keep battling.

Nowadays, I am having a lot of fun playing the Splinterland game, I don't know why there are not so many winning strikes, but still, I am learning a lot and by learning new things, I am having even more fun playing. It's been a while since I've been playing this game, and I'm still not as good at it as I should be over time. But still, I am having a lot of fun playing this game and I have not played this game for a long time. My aim was just to win the game with today's rule set once, but since morning I have been playing it, not continuously, but still when I was thinking of stopping this game, then I got the game with the exact rule set and I had a lot of fun, but I was not sure that I would be able to win in the beginning, but as the game progressed, I started having a lot of fun watching it. I hope you will also enjoy it. I would like to thank all the supporters who have supported me here till now. Now I am thinking of investing in it weekly. I will gradually belt my attack and keep investing every week and will share it with you all. I will do it, let's see what happens.

So going towards today's battle, today's battle was a lot of fun because winning this was also a task and in this battle, I was playing not in the wild but in the modern (this place is harder to win) that even after playing in the world for a long time, I was not able to get the desired rule set. When I was able to find it, I entered Modern and perhaps I had a little luck and got the rule set I wanted.

CHALLENGE RULES

RULESET: Counterspell

Description:

All units receive the magic reflect ability at the start of the battle. Enemy units that attack with magic receive damage back.

Damage returned equals the damage of the attacker divided by 2, rounded up.
Magic units with the reflection shield ability do not take damage from reflected magic attacks.
The amplify ability increases damage.

I did get a battle with the mana cap of 25 which is decent, I was lucky that I did get a chance to use my favourite water element cards xd. With them, I do feel a bit nervous not sure why but I do.
Counterspell ruleset seems to be hard for me cause I used more magic cards but still, where there is a will there is a way, don't you think? This happens with me a lot 😅 or maybe I am over imagining things a lot.

I was planning to use Less Magic Monster but still have used one of my favourite cards, I can't resist playing without using that card.
Abilities does makes a lot of difference indeed.

So, my life up was :

I used Kelya Frendul summoner this time, which is used mostly in modern battles. This summoner gives +1 speed and +1 shield to all the monsters that did makes a lot of difference for sure. That did make a lot of difference mostly speed does play a vital role indeed,

Daigendark Surveyor-:

The first card on my line was Daigendark Surveyor, the card is a neutral card and doesn't have that many stats but this is a good card to use in the first place due to its ability. The Magic Reflect (When hit with a Magic damage, does half the Magic damage (rounded up) back to the attacker.). This card is beneficial in the magic battles and I was lucky that the opponent used a few magic cards that were plus points for me. The card has 2 speeds and 5 health which is decent I guess for 2 mana cards. It is good to use this card in the first position.

Deeplurker-:

The second card on my line was Deeplurker, I was planning to use fewer magic cards but suing this card can be risky if the opponent has shielded cards (which it has 😂). The ability of this card makes this card more amazing which is Opportunity ( Units with the Opportunity ability may attack from any position and will target the enemy Unit with the lowest health.) The card does have some decent stats that is 3 melee attacks, 3 speed and 7 health. Which is quite good for 6 mama cap monster. The card's amazing ability does make this card unique I use this card a lot whenever I do get a chance.

Djinn Oshannus-:

The third card on my lineup was Djinn Oshannus, this is my most used card (this is what I do think. )The amazing ability makes this card makes this is card so popular. The Void(Reduced damage from Magic attacks by 50%). With the current ruleset, this card is like I am made of this 😂. I did feel very glad that I had used this card and lucky the opponents didn't have that many magic cards. The stats of the cards are great, 5 speed, 2 magic attacks and 10 health. This card can be used as a tank if you do have some good tank heal card at the back of the line (which I used mostly with this card).

Merdaali Guardian-:

The fourth card on the lineup was, Merdaali Guardian, This card didn't have that many great stats but the ability of this card makes this card a great card. the ability Tank Heal (Restores a third of max health to the Unit in the first position each round.) makes this card very useful the battles, you just have to prevent this card from the opponent this didn't happen all the time. If the opponent is using a snipe (Targets the first enemy Unit with Ranged, Magic, or no attack that is not in the first position with Ranged or Magic attacks.) or opportunity (Units with the Opportunity ability may attack from any position and will target the enemy Unit with the lowest health.) card then that can be a problem with this card. The stats of the cards are 3 speed and 3 health.

sl footer.png

Xenith Archer-:

The fifth and last card on the lineup was, Xenith Archer, this card did not have any great stats or abilities. The main purpose of using this card was to protect Merdaali Guardian from sneak(Targets the last Unit on the enemy Team instead of the first Unit.) attacks. The card does have 1 speed, 3 health and 1 range attack. I was lucky that the opponent was not using sneak cards, if there were any sneak cards then I might have ended the other way 😂

So, at last, the man of the match is yes of course none other than Djinn Oshannus, who else it can be.
