SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge! DAX PARAGON

avatar

This week's Share Your Battle challenge features DAX PARAGON is one of my favorite cards to play when i choose the Life splinter. It is a super solid ranged attacker, even though it does (as you may tell from the title of this post) have a few drawbacks that you should be mindful of while constructing your lineup.

DJINN APPRENTICE Card details:

Lore:

Djinn Apprentices prefer to study under more powerful djinn to hone their magic. While not as strong or cunning as others of their kin, they are just as dangerous to untrained warriors.

When the Chaos Legion arrived, it had a diverse effect on the djinn. Not a unified race by any means, some chose to align with the Chaos Legion, some chose to defend against it, and others chose to go their own path and leave it all behind. Djinn Apprentices chose to align themselves with Djinn Inferni, believing in his mission and his vision.
The Djinn Apprentices kneeled before the powerful form of Djinn Inferni. The heat of the volcano was immense, but it did not affect these beings of fire and magic.

Djinn Inferni looked across the row. “Djinn Muriat has betrayed our kind. He has aligned himself with the foul Chaos Legion. He has corrupted the name 'djinn' and all it stands for. We will no longer sit in silence as his darkness spreads. It will take all of us to face him. Will you join me?”

“We will!” the Djinn Apprentices exclaimed as one.

Note: I don't won DJINN APPRENTICE.

My Battle

Life Sapper.jpg

Life Sapper Mana cap 3 Life sappers are in between life and death. One side of their body is ghostly while the other is alive and well. They are neither fully living nor dead. They feed off the energies around them, and simply being within view of a Life Sapper will make you feel sick and weak. They siphon energy from their victims, slowly weakening and sickening them while simultaneously healing themselves. “Paladins, clerics, and healers of the world don't bother trying to save a Life Sapper as it may be the last thing you'll do. Hold dear to your worldly bodies and pray to whichever gods you know that you do not become lost in the in-between.”

-- Malaus Dawnforge, University of Illumination Priest.

Carrion Shade.jpg

Carrion Shade Mana cap 1
A carrion shade is a dark-winged bird that feeds off of the dead bodies of animals and people. They often flock to battlefields and dangerous parts of the wilderness where there are sure to be corpses. They travel in small groups and have no natural predators. Most people fear the carrion shades, though. For to see a group following you is to know your life is in danger. Tales whispered by the elder wise women claim that if you see a single carrion shade perched outside your home, then someone you love will die that night.
A drizzle cast the forest road in shades of gray. The forest itself gave off a mournful, lonely atmosphere. The trees bowed in the silence and stillness. And it was only broken by the fluttering of wings.

A group of carrion shades surrounded a humanoid body. A person left on the side of the road, their belongings taken and stab wounds across their body. Any passerby would have known it was a deal gone wrong.

But under the watch of the forest, it was only a scene of the circle of life. One body feeding others. The dark feathers of the carrion crows blocked out the corpse as they enjoyed their meal.

Giant Scorpion.png

Giant Scorpion Mana cap 4 Near the eastern edge of the Rayso Range in Mortis, the creepies and crawlies grow to be quite massive. In this survival of the fittest giant insect situation, the scorpions have truly thrived, bullying every other species into submission. The Lord of Darkness believes the huge insects are a result of the strange purple gasses that seep out through the cracks of Bren-Ha, and he has plans to throw larger monsters into the mountain as an experiment.

It is time for a quick round by round analysis:

So the Summoner I am going with for this battle is a rented level 1 Life Sapper the one and only Summoner I use. On the other hand it has turned out I am playing against no other than the Life Sapper, Carrion Shade, Giant Scorpion coming straight from Japan to show me how it's done. His Summoner of choice is a level 3 Giant Scorpion. However, the issue I see straight off the bat is not the summoner he is using but the level 2 Stitch Leech with its Reflection Shield ability, right next to his Dark Halon, in the last spot, with taunt and scavenger. This effectively means that all splash damage from my ranged attacks, drawn in by the taunt Monster, will be negated. One Blinding Reflector will win this battle but it might not be mine.

After 1 round, both line-ups have not suffered any losses yet. So it is still hard to tell who has an advantage at this point. I damage opposite side cards.

Screenshot_4.jpg

At the start of Round 2 I have managed to take down Life Sapper and Carrion Shade but as we can see from the screen shot below taken a moment after the beginning of Round 2, my Stitch Leech is a goner as well. I damage opposite side more.

Screenshot_5.jpg

Round 3 and both teams have 3 Monsters left on the battlefield. However, the enemy's advantage is glaringly obvious. I damage opposite side.

Screenshot_6.jpg

The Blinding Reflector is a fantastic tank for the Drake of Arnek. I'll stick to renting it though. Definitely worth throwing it in any battle with a large mana pool. I cannot think of an occasion where you might go wrong with that.

And Finally I win the Splinterlands Battle game. Get point 21.
