Study Of The Charts

Greetings

Hi, friends and to everyone in this wonderful Hive community. I feel excited and very grateful to the people who have welcomed me in a very kind way in the short period of time I've been here. @splinterlands is a game that I have taken a very special liking to, it is not like other games that even though they are fun they do not have so much complexity and combination of addictive elements that make you play again and again.

For this new post I will be talking about the cards (editions, rarity, groups) and some other mechanics of the game that I found interesting because they helped me to understand a little more the game play of the game. I apologize in advance if I make any mistake in my post, however I am open to opinions and criticisms, I will take them in a very pleasant way to improve in the future. With nothing more to add,

***Let's start!

Cards editions

Digging a little through the game itself and the Hive community, specifically those who are dedicated to this game, I realized that the cards have changed over the years both in design and statistics. It is worth noting that you can use each of them or play with only one edition of them.

The first of the editions that came to the game was the Alpha Edition, it is the pioneer in the game and with a reasonable amount of cards that amazed the community. The cards of this edition can be converted into Beta cards through the Collection page.

The third edition is the Untamed Edition, cards that went on sale right after the Beta Edition, during this release of the Untamed pack a reward system was used where players acquire a special card according to the amount of Untamed Edition packs purchased. As a curiosity, in this edition some cards feature abilities not found in the previous two editions.

The fourth edition also known as Promo Edition surprised players as these come from and are acquired in orbs, other cards belonging to this edition came through a special release called mysterious potions.

The fifth edition called Reward Edition comes to the game as part of the seasonal rewards. These cards are obtained in the form of chests and these can be combined, transferred or burned, as well as bought or sold.

The sixth edition known as Dice Edition was one of the most striking within the game, it brought with it beautiful designs that delighted all players, it was also characterized by the great potential of each of the monsters on the battlefield.

To end this section we can mention that the design of the cards has evolved through the different editions in an exquisite way, each of the cards has a unique detail, even a simple card has something that manages to hook the player, I can say that this has led Splinterlands to the top of success.

Card Rarities

Within the game there are 4 types of card rarities: common, rare, epic and legendary. Each of the card rarities have a different cost from each other, besides the rarity depends on a certain amount of combinations that are necessary to increase their level.

Common Cards: These are the most commonly found cards in the game with a very high rate of probability of getting them in a loot chest or booster pack. Before these cards are revealed they turn a silver color at the edges.

Rare Cards: Bordered by a bluish color before they are revealed, rare cards are the third most important card type in the game, each booster pack guarantees the player a rare card or higher.

Epic Cards: Epic cards reflect a purple color before being revealed, they are the second most important card type, they have a very low probability to appear in a booster pack.

Legendary Cards: Legendary cards are the rarest cards in the game, so much so that the probability of them appearing in a booster pack is less than 1%, before these cards are revealed they turn an impressive golden color.

Types of cards

The cards in the game are divided into two types: Summoners and Monsters.

Summoners are those that can be chosen only once in the game, that is, each player uses one summoner per battle and these same summoners are able to call 6 monster cards that are chosen by the user.

The summoners must be taken into account as they have both advantages and disadvantages in the abilities they possess. These advantages and disadvantages may or may not harm the monsters that we are going to choose and the monsters chosen by the opponent; keep in mind that if you choose a summoner of a specific sliver, you can only choose monsters of that same sliver.

Monsters are those creatures that are summoned by the summoner to the battlefield. Monsters can be improved as we advance in the game, these improvements increase the monster's statistics such as health points, attack, speed, armor; They can also get new skills but at specific levels. Each of the monsters belongs to a different sliver (Fire, Water, Earth, Life, Death or Dragon) or sometimes they are neutral cards.

For neutral monsters, they can be summoned by a summoner of any sliver, however, the monsters summoned belong to the same sliver that the summoner belongs to.

Farewell

Once again I feel grateful with this beautiful community, little by little I am getting into this wonderful new world. I must confess that this post has cost me a lot to make it because I do not have so much knowledge in the game, each time there are new things that surprise me and I have no idea what they are about, I have to spend a few minutes reading to understand most things; I took the boldness to talk about what has caught my attention, I guess I will have more than one mistake in my post, I invite you to let me know, as always I am open to criticism and these are the ones that will help me in the future. With nothing more to add, I say goodbye and see you in the next post.
