Importance of Rule Sets - Don't use speed increase in reverse speed a la or for example, Ruler of the Sea here. On paper, without any rule sets, or maybe even most rule sets, my opponents team looks pretty, pretty good, and then I remembered it's reverse speed and my 1 speed Grum vs 6 speed DJinn Oshannus looked better all of a sudden, and I noticed Ruler had also increased DJinn's speed, which is devastating for them, and it was then that I knew my opponent was either botting, and or just missed the ruleset, which can happen from time to time.

Counterspell is Magic reflect for everyone, which basically means don't use Magic, but this bot playing for

Still undefeated vs a Runi. I think I've had 3 battle's vs an opponent whose used their Runi. I don't believe many or any have sold yet, but let me know in the comments if you have stats on how many Runi's have been sold so far.

In this battle above we have Lava Launcher's Stun paired with Yodin's Blast = +1 Archery (Arrows) & +1 Health (Heart) for all Yodin's team. We see how Overpowering (Op) Yodin can be. Magnor strikes again!! Magnor is helped here with speed + 2 from Spirit Miner and Supply Runner, while Yodin as usual gives blast, which is Overpowering. This was pointed out by Rick On The Mountain on January 6th, 2023, a couple of nights ago on Infidel 1258's Friday night SPLTV show with Jim Morgan. Shout out to those 3 Splinterlands Players & Streamers!!! I've learned so much from all 3 of them, and I Thank You 3!!!
Yupal the Lord of Fire card is my new favorite wild fire card. He gives everyone +1 Health with the Abilty Strengthen and is only 3 Mana. Eventually, when Leveled up ( I Only have a Level 1 LOF ) at Level 2 he will have Blindness, reducing the magic attack of the opponent monsters by 1, and at level 3 has Affliction, which has a chance of causing an opponent's monster, unabled to be healed, and Shatter at Level 4, which shatters an opponents armor. My new favorite modern fire card which has just been Leveled Up from Level 2 to Level 3 is Countess Sinash. She has Opportunity and Camouflage at Level 1, Swiftness at Level 2, which is why I select her a lot, giving + 1 speed for all friendly monsters, and at Level 3 Affliction, which is also good. Anyone know the chance of Affliction being applied or working vs an opponents monster? At Level 4, she has blast on her own, so Countess Sinash will go well with Jacek, or in Silenced Summoners Rule Sets,etc..
I've been selling SPS for Dec lately. Jim Morgan helped me realize around the same time last year when Infidel 1258 sent me some SPS , that unstaking isn't all that bad, and quite frankly can be beneficial. I think 12 sent me a few Sps for asking a good question, or making a good comment in early 2022. Jim was the only one I heard saying, "I'm unstaking, so I can choose what to do with the SPS myself". I'm paraphrasing here my own interpretation of why unstaking is good, but the point is Jim let me know it's an option. When your first starting out, it's challenging setting everything up. I've been buying cards while prices are down Ladies & Gentlemen, in order to go further along in Splinterlands.

Elemental Phoenix Has Double Digit 11 speed here with help from 3 monsters = +3 speed & -1 from SCHACHOBERHESSEN THE UNTAMED
PEAKMONSTERS [PREMIERE], who has Baakjira and the Slow ability represented by the @ symbol = -1 speed for all opponents monsters, so instead of +3 speed, my monsters only have + 2 speed, which is still good.
This win vs a top Gold Valnamor Level 3 Team in the thorns and spreading fury ruleset battle is vs a great team. Watch till the end and see The Countess vs Cornealus.
1 step closer to Diamond 3 in Wild gets us to 2724 with this win vs Valnamor with Yodin and Magnor. I don't have Valnamor, but love the card, and is probably # 1 on my wishlist for 2023 Summoners. My opponent also has a Level 3 Baakjira, Level 8 Crustacean King, Level 3 Kraken, & Peaceful Giant Level 8 which I also don't have. These are all good cards to have in general, and with Thorns, and spreading fury as the ruleset here, were pretty good selections. But speed can often rue the day.

This win felt great as I remember studying last year that Kulu Swimhunter is good for little league, but I didn't have tide biter yet or anything leveled up to help Kulu, so Kulu wasn't selected very much, and the few times Kulu was selected, was not very effective.
As I'm writing this I realized this win is to advance to Gold 2...
