Building Wealth With Play2Earn

Traders and investors might laugh at it today but investing in play2earn games can be very lucrative and in reality these new play2earn type style games are more becoming investments. In fact many of the cases I show you below you don't even need to play the game to earn and that's the beauty of it. It's for everyone!

Play2Earn Games

There are many play2earn games currently out there but in this post I'm going to focus on Hive but in particular the largest game which is Splinterlands some of the other games are Dcrops , Rising Star

These games are quickly becoming massive beats in terms of revenue. The gaming industry is massive and with the lockdowns it quickly ballooned into one of the fastest growing areas. Couple that in with talks of the metaverse (which I still feel we are a good 5+ years away from) and you have the ground floor to massive possibilities to get in. Splinterlands was one of those and I believe still IS one of those such games that will continue to bloom this year as many new features are added.

The Low Points

Personally as an investor myself I look forward to those weird drastic sell offs. To me it shows me the ability to get more assets for far cheaper than I would have otherwise if the market continued to head up. It also in my opinion lowers the risk and offers me a better chance to make larger profits. Of course this depends on the crypto asset but that goes for stocks as well. You need to research and figure out what stock could be worth your investment.

Right now we are in that low point for splinterlands. Vouchers have become pretty pointless, SPS itself has very little use case and DEC has very little use case as everything has been converted to dump into credits first to buy the new packs. Not only that but the markets have taken one of the worst hits since a year ago almost resetting all gains from the pervious year.

What does that smell like?

OPPORTUNITY

The Assets Of SplinterLands

If you didn't want to play SplinterLands you could still earn from the game in a number of ways as an investors.

1cardrentals.jpg

  1. Buying cards or packs for opening and renting out your cards for DEC
  2. Buying packs and hodling them till they are sold out and maybe selling them for a profit
    1stake.jpg
  3. Buying SPS and staking it in game. This at the moment earns you SPS from staking rewards and airdropped vouchers

If you wanted to play the game you could earn from

  1. Quest battles daily
  2. Winning matches for DEC and other assets

Combining the two for ultimate wealth

  1. taking your SPS/DEC/SPT and other assets earned from playing and interacting with the game and providing liquidity to pools to earn other rewards.

That's just the start of it. When land gets released I believe this is going to open the floodgates to passive income from your assets. Every land is going to produce something be it wood, stone, spells, items and each is going to be used. I honestly expect to see nearly every battle using items and spells and from the sounds of it you'll be using them on each turn. You then have production costs and resources for maintenance on all buildings on lands.

From the sounds of it though this first land usage will be the first of what is 5 more to come. This to be means it's stacking season big time so you'll have the assets to grab up more lands as they are released most likely 2023. Yep, I plan that far ahead for possibilities.

I smell opportunity!

I agree, it’s an excellent time to invest in SPS, and although staking on Splinterlands is good at 37% apr it’s better to invest it on the Cubfinance Kingdone at a higher % 70+

If you don’t know how, use @easydefi

Interesting:

Right now we are in that low point for splinterlands. Vouchers have become pretty pointless, SPS itself has very little use case and DEC has very little use case as everything has been converted to dump into credits first to buy the new packs.

If it was possible to convert everything to credits, that would be as great way to preserve the value of your dec and your SPS.

Then if credits could be staked in a liquidity pool on Cubfinance you could Hodl SPS and earn income.

Not to detract from the game itself, which I enjoy immensely, but one of the things I like most about dCrops is the hive drip for holding game assets.

If Blizzard started offering me a BTC drip to hold Diablo assets I’d rape that game sideways, but all they ever offered was a chance to spend more money for less value received.

You know what's crazy I was tempted to put in remember those days of the Diablo marketplace lol ah it was ahead of its times. I did see today about holding the assets in Dcrop I might need to start hodling my crop points. Especially if we might get new packs here in the next quarter

Beta looks to be a very ambitious update, !BRO

I think there's gonna be cooking and recipes, and I'm not for sure, but I think there may be a land thing in the works to add crafting for tools and stuff too, but I may be pulling that out of my ass, and I'm pretty sure that isn't beta if it is on the horizon.

I actually think dCrops holds potential comparable to Splinterlands. I don't think it holds the same potential for community engagement that splinterlands has... as there aren't a whole lot of tactics to discuss by comparison, but the game itself is a fantastic example of how Play2Earn can offer a fairly passive income from various approaches, and it does offer enough !ENGAGE ment to play. I feel like it's what dCity should have been.

There has already been too much ENGAGE today.

True, there's only so much time in the day so these rather passive games do very well. Wax and Farmersworld is a perfect example of this.

I have said this multiple times that I ignored splinterlands when I started on hive and I regret that. I have started playing the game and also invested a lil bit. Let's see how I will position myself this year and years beyond.

Land is going to just open a world of new possibilities - I think asset prices are going to go up significantly too when it comes, as there will be so much more demand. I couldn't be more excited about it really!

Last time there was even a post from splinterlands about land that price shot up to over $1,000! Just imagine when the official announcement comes out. I think the only way I would let go of my own plots would be $3,000+ and I would start to consider it. The reason why it's so high is I know I have a keep. The issue is Idk what plot is the keep yet lol so with my luck I'll sell a plot and it's going to be the freakin keep haha

I don't play SplinterLands yet. How much time do you have to invest daily? And in which range will the earnings be? There are so many things I could do to earn crypto/money😂.

With the deck I have now on untamed I play about 7 battles at 30 seconds each battle about as I skip the battle animation. Earnings rage wildly but at least you'll start getting in on some of the SPS.

Aggroad said a while ago that I’m the future all you need is sps. Now there’s obviously things like the land expansion, but I do think that we currently have an excellent buying opportunity for sps.

There is one use-case for sps that not many people mention. That is the tournaments that are out up by sps.tournaments. Those are lucrative tournaments that require you to have a lot of sps staked in order to be able to play.

Even the novice league tournament kobold mining exploration requires 1492 sps staked. The bronze level one requires 3700 sps and the gold league one close to 6k etc.

I have a deck that is worth about 2k usd and still I’m only now getting close to that 1492 sps staked.

I jumped in a few of those tournaments and just lost. It feels like a select few keep winning those but I could be totally wrong. huge SPS prices though.

And yes that's the cool thing about splinterlands you can play, play and invest, play and collect, invest and yada yada so many options for everyone to get involved in some way and earn from it and support Splinterlands and really hive itself.

I am usually able to get in the top 40 or so. My best result so far was 11th position.

You have to have a couple nice combo’s that people don’t see too often if you don’t have the expensive cards.

I find that the new chaos legion summoners are really strong especially with cards like mushroom seer for earth.

Dragon summoner with djinn chwala and life splinter monster Dax paragon and a healer work really well in some situations as the amplify helps to boost the thorns to 3 damage per hit.

The top 10 is usually the same, but a lot of tournaments have prices for the top 25ish that are still worth taking part

And yes, the options for playing and investing are awesome already, but land will increase that even more.

I play ranked, tournaments and brawls. I have sps staked in game, but also on BSC in a cubdefi kingdom. I have Dec in a farm on cubdefi, which gives me more sps airdrops. And I get vouchers ofcourse for my staked sps.

With land there will be crafting, I think they will also add PvE content, there will be staking on land for increased stuff. The list goes on and on.

This is only the beginning 😆
