Last Splinterlands Season What's in Store for 2022

Instead of making a plane old post about my rewards for the end of this season I wanted to dig into it a big deeper while still showing off my rewards ;) lol *spoiler I got a legendary!

Moving into 2022 I have big plans for Splinterlands. Not only investment wise but it's also going to be part of the plan to sell some of it to build other assets. Primarily I'll still be playing games and guild battles because I enjoy it and it doesn't eat up a huge amount of time.

With changes being made to the game the passive income side of me is starting to kick in. Currently passive income comes from the rental system which gets me a decent amount of DEC per day. That DEC then helps me earn more SPS which is also a passive income. That SPS helps me earn passive on vouchers and hopefully many other things moving into the future.

On top of that the introduction of land is expected in 2022 and I expect that to house a rather passive income as well. What's really freakin cool about all of this is the SPS and DEC assets can be staked into DeFi pools and earn passivly in that method as well. So putting your ducks in a row this game expands into massive potential for huge amounts of passive income moving forward and that's a primary goal of mine.

Today was a rather rewarding day from the game so I'm going to dump that all on you right now :)

Yep it's fun to show it off I know I'm not alone lol

Season ending rewards

Picked up a legendary worth about $11 on the market right now. Picked up a bunch of $0.05 at well and roughly 220 DEC with some potions (which I'll be using soon for another 200 pack opening!)

Daily quest rewards
160 DEC plus some cards two of where are rare

Gladius Chest
Picked up enough for one of these packs and it turned out decent with two rare cards.

That's a rather big rewards day in Splinterlands. Putting the total value at about $25. Prices on cards etc are low right now but I expect those to go up again some Feb/March of 2022 with packs getting sold out, more battle rewards etc.

A Few Side Notes

  • I'm curious to hear others opinions on the rental system and if they should be locked in for longer than 24 hours. The reason I ask is in reality you'd most likely get more rewarded by renting out a few high level cards at the last day or two of the season and smashing your way to the top and then just sitting there and collecting the rewards. It seems like a flaw or perhaps that's just the way it should be? it just feels a little silly at the moment so what are you thoughts on that?

  • Personally I'm going to stack the heck out of SPS now and I have a new goal of 1 million at least by the time the airdrop is over. I feel at that point the prices will start to climb and the rewards provided should constantly fuel the game and passive income from that point. What are you thoughts on the SPS token do you like it or do you dump yours?
