Splinterlands A Investment That's Already Paying Off

Just a few hours ago Splinterlands the NFT play 2 earn game release a new deck opening called Chaos packs. This has been a long time coming as I feel like I waiting a good half a year for it to finally come! Now that it's here I want to go over a few of my pack opens and maybe later even do a video of the rest TBD.

SPS (Splintershards)

At the moment Splinterlands is dropping vouchers again for the next 2 million packs. There are only two ways of getting a voucher and each voucher allows you to buy one $4 pack. The first way is to have staked SPS tokens which will give you a supply of Vouchers each day. The more SPS you hold in your account (staked) the larger portion of the supply of vouchers each day comes to you. Or you can buy vouchers on the secondary market of Hive-Engine or LeoDex.io

PreLaunch Packs

One million total packs went up for sale last month which came with some interesting little bonuses. The only thing was you couldn't open any of those packs till now!

I ended up picking up 385 total packs during this phase and sold around 150 voucher which I ended up dumping those profits into cub. I know Splinterlands most likely would have given me a solid return but I'm looking to build passive streams and picking up a few thousand bucks more to put into CUBDeFi seemed like a solid play for long term passive.

Sub PreLauch Packs

For the month of December and first week of 2022 vouchers will be dropped twice as fast to people who have SPS staked.

12 Million Packs come early 2022

After December all the remain packs including 12 million in total will be released to the public at $4 each. I have a very strong feeling this is going to sell out stupid fast. We have already seen close to these numbers when you combine voucher cost plus packs together.

Opening Packs

Today I ended up opening up 20 packs of the 385 and here are some of my best opens I wanted to share with you!

My first pack open brought me two epic cards!

I landed a few common gold foil cards. Not the best I'd love a gold foil legendary or even epic :D

We did manage to pick up one legendary!

The game plan moving forward is I should be able to get well over 1,000 vouchers during the month of December. I plan on using 1,000 of these to claim packs and open them and see how that makes my deck look. I want to at least max out one full set of Chaos and possibly a 2nd which will be used for renting/lands etc to earn some passive income on.

The Rewards So Far

From just the airdrop alone we picked up thousands worth in vouchers. We did buy 385 packs of which I opened 20 so far. (Video later tonight I'm committing myself to it) I have one gold foil that sells for $80 and another for $25 while about 4 commons which go for $4.50 each. Also picked up that legendary card which goes for $38 and a number of epic cards that averages to about $17 each of which I have 6. This brings us to about $225 worth of cards right now from 20 packs or $11.25 per pack. Not to bad I expect these prices to skyrocket in a few months as chaos packs get sold out and it comes down to market trades.

The cool thing about the prelaunch is we always got a special drop card. Sadly I didn't get a gold foil but I did pick up 7 of the doctor blight cards which are currently on the market for $127 each which is a total of $889 at the moment that's not all that bad the rent on it right now is just awful though.

I'm a bit torn at the moment between maxing the deck asap so I can be very competitive in battles again or to take profits. Time will tell :)
