I think the team is going to do some pretty on point stuff with the voucher system to ensure that everyone will get at least some sort of chance at buying packs. I also think that there will be a lot more packs. There are going to be some 8 million common reward cards / each in the new set (400,000 in previous set), that tells me that we are printing 20 times as many reward cards. There were 1.5 million packs of untamed... 30 million CL packs sounds about right to me!? 72(ish) million staked sps currently... one can only wonder where it is going to go.
I do think packs will sell out before the set is released for gameplay if they don't limit the pre-sale. Time will tell... I am excited for the announcement. How bullish is everyone on this game right now!?
I would think they're going to HAVE to limit the presale. As you say, if some whale comes in and buys up 1 Million packs or some ridiculous number, they could basically make millions of dollars reselling them later and deal a pretty significant blow to the game and user experience in general.
In my mind, they almost have to limit the packs per day/week per account. Yes, people can scam the system and open up multiple accounts, but at least it will slow the process and allow most users a chance to participate.
