Hi guys, looking at the social media announcement, this week it was about rewards, however last week I had already presented a post about it, so if you want to see it, here is my link: https://hive.blog/hive-13323/@bitri/the-new-rewards-update-is-amazing-woow

However, in order not to be left in the air, I wanted to give my opinion on Splinterlands Voucher System Overhaul!.

My opinion about Splinterlands Voucher System Overhaul!

Voucher Consolidation and Liquidity Updates (August 15):

  • Token Merger: Splinterlands will be implementing major changes to simplify the Voucher system. Starting August 15, VOUCHER-G (used in-game) and VOUCHER (on-chain) tokens will be merged into a single VOUCHER token that will only exist in-game. This move will eliminate the need to transfer Vouchers from the SPS chain to the game, making it easier to use Vouchers.

  • Voucher Rewards: Vouchers earned as rewards (through SPS validation or staking) will be delivered directly in-game, removing the complexity of managing these assets across different platforms.

  • Liquidity Rewards Discontinuation: Rewards for the Voucher/SPS liquidity pool on Hive-Engine will be discontinued, reflecting a focus on consolidating and simplifying the ecosystem.

  • Transfer Restrictions: Vouchers will be able to be transferred from decentralized exchanges (such as Hive Engine or Tribaldex) to Splinterlands, but will no longer be able to be transferred back from Splinterlands to those exchanges. This allows Splinterlands to create an in-game liquidity pool that complies with regulatory requirements, avoiding the operation of an exchange.

End of Voucher-Based Discounts:

  • Changes as of August 15: Voucher-based discounts offered for the purchase of validator licenses will end. This is the first step in phasing out vouchers as a means of in-game discounting.

  • August 31 - End of Voucher Purchases: Wild Passes and Mage Wagons will no longer be purchasable with Vouchers starting August 31, in an effort to direct more utility toward Dark Energy Crystals (DEC).

  • September 3 - End of Rebellion Pack Discounts: On September 3, voucher-based discounts on Rebellion booster packs will end, and in-game energy will no longer be purchasable with Vouchers. Additionally, the price of Rebellion packs will be reduced to 4,000 DEC or Credits, making these packs more accessible without the need for Vouchers.

Introduction of New Liquidity Pool, Voucher Store, and Transfer Fees (September 3):

  • DEC/Voucher Liquidity Pool: Starting September 3, a new in-game liquidity pool will be launched for DEC tokens and Vouchers. This will allow players to purchase Vouchers directly in-game without the need to go through decentralized exchanges.

  • Voucher Store Launch: On the same day, the Voucher Store will be launched, where a new exclusive card can be purchased using Vouchers. This store will add a new layer of utility to Vouchers within the game.

  • Transfer Burn Tax: Voucher transfers between players will be subject to a 12.5% burn tax. This tax is designed to reduce the supply of Vouchers and increase their value and utility in the game's ecosystem.

  • Splinterstorm Skin Store Removal: Also on September 3, the Splinterstorm skin store will be removed. Players interested in acquiring these skins should do so before this date, as they will not be available afterward.

Purpose of Changes:

Simplify the in-game economy and improve the player experience, based on the proposal approved by the community.
Next Steps:

The community is thanked for their support and more exciting developments are promised in the future.

These changes are the result of a proposal approved by the Splinterlands community, with the goal of simplifying the game's token economy and improving the overall player experience. The company thanks users for their feedback, understanding and continued support as they work to evolve Splinterlands in line with the community's vision.

More exciting developments and updates are anticipated in the future, so players are urged to stay tuned for more exciting developments in the future.

The community is thanked for their support and more exciting developments are promised in the future.
