BATTLE Weekly Challenge - Dracarys !!!!

Hey Summoners,

For this week's Challenge battle i bring you, DRAGONS !!!

Dragon is one of my favorite splinter and this week's battle is an absolutely crushing domination from my end...this is what Dragon fights should be. Utterly dominating encounters with with their sheer firepower and strength. No wonder Dragons are boss encounters in many games.

Summoner - Archmage Arius !!

5 Mana cost, Whale summoner (rented of course) that is fully offensive...he gives:

+1 to Melee, Magic & Ranged atttack !!!

Rarely gets to see this in action especially low leagues like Bronze but hell yah since i rented it for the Stache Classic must well play with it.

The Battle Rules

Challenge - Bronze ruleset

  • 44 Mana
  • Life / Death / Earth / Dragon
  • All Melee creatures have Sneak

Strategy

This battle happened during one of my fights in the Stache Classic against GodIsLove777...great player by the way. I really thought hard about this but is intrigued by the Sneak as Dragons have some pretty hard hitting creatures and a couple options to deal with Sneak attacks.

The Lineup

The most expensive summoner i have ever fielded ! Had my summoner set in stone already to buff all these attacks....full offensive mode ! As for 2nd splinter i choose Earth as i wanted a line up that is no only fast but hard hitting and Earth probably have the best tank in the game at Bronze level. With the buffs i am faster and hits harder. This would be a battle of attrition as there is 2 raise dead and tons of front + backline heals on their side.

  • Da Tank - Flesh Golem
    Has to be the best tank in bronze level. Super high health, self heals and decent attack+speed. This should last at least 2-3 rounds before dying.

  • Mid DPS - Red Dragon
    With the Sneak ruleset i was looking for something that can do alot damage and this fits the bill with 2 buffed magic and 4 melee damage. A total of 6 damage to the whoever is in the back !!

  • Mid DPS - The Vigilator
    A super beast !!! Double attack with Sneak means that he does FOUR (4) attacks for a total of 8...nasty bugger.

  • Support - Brownie
    Speed buff, 1 extra damage and just cost 1 to fill up that support spot.

  • Long Range Sniper - Spirit of the Forest
    The idea of this is a very fast Sniper to take out their 2nd guy but kinda nullified by Taunt, but 3 damage is nothing to shout at !

  • Backline Thorns Tank - Djinn Chwala
    Sneak ruleset. Super tanky dude with Thorns, deals 3 damage....Nuff said. My backline bait to have their sneak attackers kill themselves.

Honestly at the start i cant tell who will win. It got to be a battle of attrition with so much heals, repair and saves from the other side while i have so much damage. I just press Start Battle and hoped for the best, believing in my pick.

I felt kinda good as i managed to take down the their taunt tank by moving first until i realized that he got TWO resurrections !!! Got to kill this bugger 3 times lol...

Really an attrition game as the start of Round 2 and everything is still mostly status quo like from the First round. What i can see is that the Repair Armor guy is forced to hit my backline due to the Sneak ruleset and therefore taking damage from the thorns...he should be going down this round, unfortunately armor repair is cast first before attacking.

sooooo...after taking down the Taunt guy for the 3rd time he is staying down !! With that my creatures started working their way from the back...unprotected, with no shield they probably wont last long against the relentless assault of the Red Dragon & Vigilator.

Sheer firepower took down the back line and finally the last one Standing was the Warrior of Peace trying to make a peace offering.

Quite a satisfying battle for me as i managed to edge out a very good & awesome player. Also this might be the only time i will ever use a $30,000 summoner...Dragon continue to be one of my favorite splinters and i use it often with Summoners like the Kitty & Daria Dragonscale,
