Hey Summoners,

For this week's Challenge battle i bring you, Elven Cutthroat.

I rented a high lvl one so its sort of usable in Gold League as mine is just a lvl 1 starter card.

I must admit i do not use this card much as its an older beta card and i feel that almost all the splinters themselves have better 3 cost Stealth cards. I guess the advantage of the Cutthroat is that is has high speed but i think it has already been power-creep by Uraeus......

Looking at the stats above Uraeus has lower speed and 1 health lower (but i could argue that extra +1 armor is as good as having that 1 health) The advantage Uraeus has is a poison ability which is sooooo powerful as poison is what i like to call "pure" damage...cannot be block by armor. So by giving up 2 speed u get a "Damage Over Time" effect that stays on the unit even if Uraeus is dead.

I Guess if speed is an essence...then the Cutthroat is the best choice....there is also the issue of maxing the card being a Beta card is is not easy to find and costly.

But today's story is not about the Snake its about the Elf that excels in assassination and boy i have the perfect battle for this.

Strategy

So when this open up i checked my opponent..."KRMarketing08" umm ok....1 tick on the Bot checkbox, Battle History = Magic Old Man abuser, with similar lineups...another tick on the bot checkbox. So with this info i decided to gamble with an anti-magic Earth Line-Up, once the units are revealed i did an evil Smirk....

If i lose to a bot i really don't know where to hide my shame...

The Lineup

Again before the opening hand i had my mine set to defend against Magic and hence my first 2 placements...throw in a cheap healer in there and 2 Backline assasins (both featured here Uraeus and the Cutthroat). The choice of summoner, Mylor is just cause he is my highest lvl Earth Summoner.

• Brown Unicorn
  Solid anti Magic tank with Void and Reflect and high health...have tons of Damage and decent Speed too !!

• Rainbow Magic Ball
  Snipe ruleset...Magic Ball has void and reflect...enough said !!

• Elven Cutthroat
  Backline wrecker number 1. Fast enough to hit almost anything.

• Token 2 cost healer
  Cheapest cost healer in the game just slotting in right there keeping the mustang alive but i must say its not taking much damage due to the Snipe ruleset

• Poison Snake
  Backline wrecker number 2. With the Cutthroat and this together dealing 4 damage + chance of poison per turn i do feel good.

• Constantly Angry Chicken
  Zero cost meat shield against a Sneak plus it does 2 damage thorns reflect to anything hitting it. No wonder the prices are up.

Got to Put this Meme again:

Lol took out their misplaced healer (TIP: placing healer on 2nd position in Snipe ruleset is just asking for it to be killed) with some magical action from the rainbow ball and healer. Feeling confident about this as their healer is down and the reflect rainbow ball is still alive !! And with the crab healer gone, so is the +2 armor that its giving to its allies, leaving them more open to the sneaks...

Unfortunately the Elven Cutthroat is missing her attacks despite have 2 speed more...it might be the flying. The mermaid and medusa should be dying soon from reflects though.

The Medusa, Mermaid and Genie just killed themselves last round lol....and with the Crab poisoned i could miss all my attacks and still win hahaha...strike one for real players vs bots !!

Conclusion

The beauty of this game is there is a counter for everything...quite like Rock-Paper-Scissors, if you figure out their line-ups its a definate KO. In this battle the Cutthroat did not do much other than miss twice lol. I will probably rarely use the Cutthroat as based on my analysis above i believe there are better units that fills this 3 mana cost spot...
