Hey Summoners,

For this week's Challenge battle i bring you, Haunted Spider.

Unfortunately this is a very low lvl fight with most of my monsters at level 1 as Death is not one of my main Splinter to use but it was a fun fight regardless. Now lets look at the Spider, a monster i find very annoying at slightly higher level as it gets a very nice Poison attack. Poison is an extremely annoying ability that chips down 2 health each turn !!

The Battle Rules

League @ Silver 2

• 32 Mana
• Life / Death / Water / Earth
• Little League
• Everyone have Blast

Strategy

I think Death has one of the best line-up for little league in higher leagues with so many debuffs and kill potential. I decided to go Death as it is still quite strong at Silver even with lvl 1s. For my Summoner i choose Oyster for magic reflect...deadly to my opponent if they have a huge magic line-up. I also decide to go for a Sneak and Snipe heavy line-up to take advantage of the Blast as the usual placement for Little League is softer units at the back.

The Lineup

Choose Oyster as my summoner as i tot he will choose the water old man against me but seems my opponent had the same idea too. On paper the opening hand does not look good for me, much higher level cards and abilities and good placement for blast too. My only hope is the Snipes and sneak that i have can do considerable amount of damage first to their back-line. Now for a rundown of my units.

• Animated Corpse
  Solid tanky choice for a 4 cost unit. 2 attack and 6 health lvl 1 for it mana cost is great and at high levels it get Void too which makes it even better to tank magic damage.

• Uraeus
  New Epic reward card that i love. 3 cost sneak and at higher levels it gets POISON !! Just devastates a back liner if poison procs. For this case its quite good also with the blast ruling it can do some damage to the backline.

• Death Elemental
  I think this the only few Snipe unit with Magic ! Usually Snipe units are ranged and this unit is good as magic goes thru shields.

• Venari Bonesmith
  A new Reward card which have been seeing increasing use because of its life leech ability and high initial health. Again it gets poison at high levels..Magic attack, poison and life leech everything u want on a ranged attacker

• Haunter Spider
  Today's highlight. Not sure how it will do due to the slow speed and low health might just get blasted to oblivion before anything can happen.

• Twisted Jester
  Love this unit, quite good for its relatively low 4 cost, u get snipe, good health, damage and speed. Another crucial unit for me to destroy their back lines.

The Battle

Honestly i have to say this is a very very messy battle with reflects flying off left and right and everyone randomly taking damage from the Blast.

Middle of Round 1, we have randomly a few units dead already...blasts and reflects are flying off everywhere. Looking at the health of the units, i think this will be over fast before i can add more color commentary.

Ya so its not even round 2 and lots of units have died with their tank dead. Glad i put those Snipe units which came in handy bringing down their Shadow and back-line with Blasts.

OK so at the start of Round 2 my Twisted Jester which is at 3 speed and snipe, made a Snipe attack on that Highland Archer at the back killing it in addition to a Blast damage that also kills the Parasite....Booya win for me !

Conclusion

This was a messy fight that can end either way with all those reflect and blast...i would say RNG played a big part in my win in this. Can you look at that sweet DEC ? Ever since they made the changes to the reward pools and nerf Bronze chest rewards even in Silver this is a decent return per win !! With current DEC prices this is like 15 cents baby !!

Now if given a chance i would like to try Death Splinter more....as being a fairly new player i dont get to participate much on the older cards(Death have very strong Beta cards) but looking at the new reward cards now...maybe i can play Death more in the future...loving the Venari and Harklaw.
