Hey Summoners,

For some reason i think the Splinterlands team really loveeee Dragons. Seems like every month there is like a Dragon Battle, not that i am complaining cause i love playing with Dragons.

This battle will be a lower level battle in Bronze, which surprisingly i found Dragons is not very effective in Bronze...maybe because they are very expensive Mana Cost wise and in Bronze the average mana cap is usually quite low, but lets see how we did.

Summoner - Daria Dragonscale

I used this summoner as the +1 Melee ability is pretty strong which a lot Dragons can take advantage of and she is pretty cheap to rent in Bronze. Furthermore the nature of the Battle Rules is very favorable for this summoner.

The Battle Rules @ Bronze 1

• 27 Mana
• Melee Can Attack from Anywhere
• Earth, Life, Death and Dragon Only

Strategy

Usually Dragons are not so great in Bronze as they are very expensive Mana Wise. But So happen the Battle rules are quite favourable as in 27 Mana cost is pretty decent to use Dragons and Melee can attack from anywhere so i have the perfect summoner for it. I will put those hard hitting melee dragons to put maximum damage plus some thorns action.

The Lineup

• Da Tank - Chromatic Dragon
  Decent health, Flying and 3 speed is considered on the higher side in Bronze. With Daria's buff this multi-headed dragon can do 4 damage !

• Meat Shield - Chicken
  Zero cost chicken to take a Snipe hit...does not cost anything but able to absorb a hit is really good

• Ranged DPS - Red Dragon
  Huge Melee damage with the buff and an attack 1 Magical attack.

• Backline Tank/ DPS - Djinn Chawlla
  Thorns to return their sneak damage and pretty decent damage too. Sneak is used quite often in bronze due to its easy availability as a starter card in Bronze.

I felt pretty confident in this battle due to the thorns backline of mine which will be taking out the sneak Cat and slowly bring down the Sneak Snake. And as i predicted the chicken did its job in absorbing the Snipe attack from Death Elemental. The deaths did fuel the Riftwing and i do have concerns for its Speed and its growing HP pool. The Wendigo tank is also a minor concern as i will be taking thorns damage too. But it looks like a pretty solid battle for me as i clearly have the superior damage.

Just before Round 2 the Red Dragon managed to take our the Wendigo tank, and at this point its pretty much my game unless RNG is not in my favor, the Riftwing could get pretty lucky and dodge all my melee attacks. As long as its alive the Death team still have a minor chance to win.

Unfortunately for the Death team RNG was not in their favor and 3 creatures got taken out very fast, leaving the Sneak Snake left standing...lets say a little prayer to it...the snake will die a hero for being last standing.

Conclusion & VICTORY

A very quick win as the ruleset is in my favor with very big hard hitting dragons. However not all Dragon fights are easy like this in Bronze, they tend to be more powerful in Silver and above due to their higher level abilities and also higher mana battles are more common in Higher ranks which dragons can take advantage. I am a dragon user but ultimately in bronze the other splinters can fare better...is that why we hardly see Dragon Daily Quest in bronze ? A food for thought....
