Hey Summoners,

This round will be an ALL GOLD SHINY Brawl battle ! Recently been using some of these lesser used Monsters to complete these Challenges because apparently the team want us to use them more.

My thoughts on the the Morphoid

One word to describe this is...bad, because within this 1 cost filler space there is a a lot more better alternatives like:

Creeping Ooze (Slow)
Chaos Agent (A much much better backline or Equal Health tank)
Brownie (Speed)
Epona (+ HP and in higher levels Divine Shield and Repair)

Even if you want thorns, because its Green you can easily get Thorns in the whole party with Mylor....

So unless the ruleset is very specific i will not use this. Today's battle challenge is actually Gold Foil / Chaos Only Brawls so that narrows down to only Chaos Agent and Morphoid. With the ruleset (No armor) that is slightly favoring Thorns i decided to use Morphoid

Summoner - Obsidian

Green version of Old Man Magic spam and gives Green a very good balance of summoners. Green also have quite good magic units that can take advantage of this

The Battle Rules @ Brawl Bronze Chaos & Gold Foil Only

• 24 Mana
• NO Armor
• NO ranged
• Fire / Water / Earth / Death / Dragon

Strategy

As this is Gold Foil only brawl i usually pick the Splinter i have the most Chaos Gold Foil Units and the ones which i have Gold Gladiator cards. So happen i have a good Earth Splinter tank for this ruleset. I also decided to slot in some thorns units as this ruleset have no armor which Thorns will target the Health directly.

The Lineup

• Da Tank - Palidon Rakk
  My only Gold Foil Gladiator card for Earth splinter and in this situation its quite good. With the no armor ruleset i take the highest HP monster i can find and put him in front. With Bloodlust any kills done by him, he gets stronger and stronger. Wont be able to find a better tank than this considering the ruleset and the format.

• Off-Tank - Venari Knifer
  Yes he cant attack from the 2nd row but this dude is a decent off tank with the High Speed and Thorns. My objective is to thorns up the line-up so they take significant damage if manage to hit. He might be weak against magic but understand that i am in Chaos Brawl Gold Foils only matchup, my guild is only in Tier 1 so i assume we wont meet too much whales so ya magic probably wont be a whole lot of concern.

• Healer - Goblin Psychic
  Good healer with a whopping 3 magic damage(with summoner buffs)

• Thorns Tank - Mycelic Morphoid
  Filler as due to non-armor ruleset i could see this returning 2 damage to a Sneak/Opportunity Monster

Round 1 the Morphoid did baited the Deeplurker to hit him but unfortunately its not much as there is a Spirit Hoarder healing back the Deeplurker to full, while the two front guys just trading blow.

As we move to Round 3 my healer got killed by the annoying Deeplurker. That guy will cause some problems if i don't get thru to the healers fast and i have been missing the front guy a lot too.

Round 4 Rakk got a kill on their Tank and subsequently Bloodlust was activated. I should get another 2 easy kills on those 2 healers to further buff him.

Round 5 it is pretty much over as my Rakk is now on Steriods with a whopping 6 Damage and 5 Speed.

Conclusion & VICTORY

A well deserved victory and all the Morphoid did was be a Meatshield. I do not like this Monster at all due to the reasons stated above and for that reasons i will hardly use him. There are simply better 1 cost units to fill that gap.
