Splinterlands Post – Episode 200 Pack Opening!

Hi folks, gosh what a day. Sorry for the uber short post... but here it is...

Normally my posts at the moment are all about my “trying to paint one daily painting every day” challenge, so everything has been art-related.
But today I need to interject a Splinterlands post!

I mean… I spend most mornings perusing the land sale pages or playing matches, but I don’t often actually post about Splinterlands.
Today though — I’m opening the packs I won during the Splinterlands 101 Episode 200 celebration!
Thanks as always to @bobaphet @giotrix and @mattclarke for the dedication they show, so amazing to hear from such mighty guests!

🐉 A Little Background

For those that don’t know:

• I started Splinterlands right before Chaos Legion came out.
• Got the whole family involved.
• My husband plays.
• My kids used to play… but as I’ve said before, they find the game a bit tricky these days.
• The new mode is actually much easier for them though, so that’s a relief.

I’ve also been a guest on the Splinterlands 101 podcast a few times, and there was absolutely no way I was missing the 200th episode. And i did BY NINE whole hours... grrr... lol lol lol

🎙️ The Episode Itself

It was awesome hearing from so many enthusiastic players.
Every time I chat with you fellers, I get a new flush of enthusiasm for the game.
although i was only listening that day it was no different. 😊

And — lucky me — I managed to win a few packs!

📦 Pack Opening!

So here I am, dutifully opening them.

As you can see, I even pulled an Epic in my alchemy pack!
(Shame it wasn’t the gold foil… but I’ll take it regardless 😂)

🎨 Daily Painting Side Note

As for the daily painting challenge… we were out today.
Took the kids to Wicked at Gold Class, had a few very expensive cocktails, and didn’t get much painting done.

I did "finish" something, but I’m not super happy with it — I’ll post it anyway, but it’s definitely not my favourite.
i was preoccupied... and it shows... but again... i am posting everything... yikes...

Here you can see the AWESOME decorations at the shops today. life sizes baubles... :-)

😴 Signing Off (5am comes quickly…)

I wish I could chat longer tonight but I have a date with sleep.
The kids need to be at the ballet studio at 7am tomorrow and I have to get up at 5am.
Yawn.
Not happy.
I hate Monday mornings…
