[Splinterlands] Deeplurker! - share your battle weekly challenge

The Deeplurker seems to be one of the favourites of this new batch of cards. It is indeed a card that I tend to play often when I have a high enough mana battle with a water lineup. I usually put it in 2nd or 4th rank, after Djinn Oshanus or Venari wavesmith.



In this duel, I had only 20 mana, and was limited to common and rare monsters, so Djinn Oshanus was out. Therefore I went for cheaper options to maximize the summoner advantages. Cruel sethropod then Ice pixie, Venari wavesmith, Deeplurker, and Furious chicken to take the sneaky ones. My opponent went red: a good matchup for my team.



At the beginning of round 2, the armor of my front and backliners absorbed most of the heat, and I seem to be in a better position than my opponent as his living lava is already half dead.



Beginning of round 3, I lost the serthropod and the chicken, and my opponent is fgoing to lose his living lava. The armor of my 3 remaining creatures is full: it doesn't bode well for my opponent.



At the start of round 4, my pixie is looking to meeting her creator soon, but my opponent may not see round 5.



I spoke too fast. The deeplurker took the opporunity (pun intended) to kill the range attacker first, allowing the Tenyii striker to survive one round more.

In the end, I'm quite happy with how this battle turned out. The wavesmith is a staple of water teams, and combines well with the lurker, especially when the opponent is not magic or armor heavy. I think I will keep on using this lineup in such cases, and the deeplurker will see many more battles with me: I like this ugly beast.
