Gold Card Investments: Chaos Legion

In this post, we will look at three gold cards that I think have the greatest return on investment. That return is based on future card value as well as usage in matches. We will not include any of the one mana creatures as these are obviously a great investment given you only need one gold bcx really for them to do their job. Soul Strangler

The strangler is a great low mana card as you can put out three ranged damage from a three mana card at level 3 which is only two gold BCX. Death has a great low mana play with cards like the life sapper, crpypt beetle and riftwing especially in equalizer matches. Given the popularity of death in low mana, this card gets a lot of use for me which boosts the r share bonus. As far as future return on this card, there is very few cards in silver that can deal out this type of damage making it a key card for the future in my opinion.

Radiated Brute

Another card that gets a big boost with only 2 gold BXC is the brute. Three melee from the reach position is especially good in reverse speed matches and he has enough health to be a bit of a meat shield allowing your backline attackers to do work. That third attack is key as it can be buffed to four and takes two demoralize cards to nerf it significantly. The brute finds his way into almost all my fire team lineups and is popular among my opponents in silver as well. 0.7 per bcx seems like a good buy in my opinion as a card such as the luminous eagle with three damage from the reach position currently sells for $14. A 2x from here seems likely to me.

River Nymph

Cleanse is a great ability to have in silver as other than the forgotten one, chaos legion does not have any others. When fire is not playable, water is my choice for poison matches which come up fairly often, The nymph is a must play card even in high mana matches for this ruleset and is a game changer. Having just one bcx will get your through bronze and silver. Comparing this card to untamed monster with cleanse, we have the herbalist for life which is at $12. With a price of $2 right now, this card has some future value in my opinion.

This is not an exhaustive list but these three cards would offer great usability and r share boosts while also providing future investment potential. Paying attention to things like this is important in a down market as when the bull run comes, these cards should see a nice boost overall.
