Three Cards to Rise Up in Future Modern Format!

In this article, we will look at three cards that I see taking a big boost when rebellion comes and untamed is phased out. Naturally, this is assuming that rebellion will not offer similar cards to untamed and the meta will still be centered around a few specific strategies that chaos legion brings. This is all speculative with no future knowledge of what rebellion will bring. Without further delay, let us get into the cards. 1. Conqueror Jacek

Jacek has been a love hate card for me as it can be awesome in some situations while letting you down in others. The biggest reason for that is the RNG of scatter shot. However, one way to counteract that is become so fast that your opponent cannot hit you and then it does not matter how long it takes to eliminate your opponent. Kitty is obviously the bane of existence for jacek with the true strike so with her out of the picture, jacek can really pack a punch and be the speed meta summoner. Adding to that play is the swiftness cards like countess and supply runner as well as any swiftness cards rebellion brings along. Put a fineas rage or couerl lurker up front and you are golden.

2. Coeurl Lurker

Not a cheap card by any means but I believe it has room to improve both in price and usability. We already spoke about the jacek strategy however another one that I see is with rathe and the life team. Shieldbearer is being phased out which leaves life without a taunt monster for the modern format unless you have iziar the soulbound card. The taunt and resurrect play is huge for life and without shieldbearer that could really diminish the meta for life.

3. Hill Giant

Sneaky good card in my opinion in low mana given all the hit points for this card. My thought is this card replaces the failed summoner in low mana earth plays. The high health and stun along with immortalis void or a summoner buff from rebellion could really boost this cards usability and value. No doubt it does not stack up against the summoner however it is adequate enough to win even at the highest levels in my opinion.

These are some discussions I have been having with my guild and other players as sooner than later untamed will phase out and a new modern meta will begin.
