Coastal Sentry

Coastal Centry is a common water reward card. It costs 10 mana to play it. The card has a high DPS, but it has low health for 10 mana.

Bronze - at bronze level it has 3 attack, 4 speed, 2 armor and 6 health. It also has twin strike: the unit attacks twice each round. It has a low health of 6, but if it can attack from backline, it would make a strong attacker.

Silver - At level 5 it gets some important upgrades. It gets +1 melee attack which is equal to 2 more damage per round. It also gets +1 health which makes its health to 7.

Gold - Level 8 it has +1 speed and +1 armor which makes its attack more accurate. It also has another important ability which is Piercing. If it deals excessive damage than the defender's armor, the rest of the damage would be damaged to its health.

Diamond/Champion - Max level it gains another +1 melee attack making the damage per round 10 if it does not miss. It also has another ability: Knock out. It deals double damage to enemies that are stunned. It is not a great ability but sometimes it could be helpful.

Battle Info

Rank: Modern Silver
Avaliable Type: All Except Dragon
Mana: 34
Healed Out: All healing abilities are removed.
Up Close and Personal: Only units with melee attacks can be used.
Noxious Fumes: All units are poisoned at the start of the game.

The rulesets are really hard since it only allows melee monsters and also there's no heal, while they are poisoned. A lot going here.

My Lineup

Summoner: Possibilus the Wise. I thought this would be the best choice since Reach and Stempede helps melee attackers, and +2 health gives units more chance against Poison.

First positon: Dumacke Orc. It dies because of the Noxious Fumes, however it has good abilities for melee only game(Shield, Retaliate). It would soak enemy frontliners and opportunity attacks at the first round.

Second position: Coastal Sentry. The main character here. At level 5 it has 4 melee attacks. It pairs well with this summoner since it can attack from the second position, which helps with its low health.

Third position: Deeplurcker. Deeplurcker is also good in this ruleset. Having opportunity means it can attack at the backline and has more chances of trigering the stempede ability.

Fourth position: Pelacor Bandit. Pelacor Bandit is a melee attack monster with sneak and it attacks the backline monster. It has good stats for 3 mana here, so I chose it.

Fifth position: Uraeus. Uraeus is also a sneak attack monster. Although not at full level, I chose it mainly to have another monster that can attack the backline.

Last position: Torrent Fiend. It is a filter card and I used it since it is free. It would either take a sneak/opportunity attack from the enemy.

Round 1

The opponent was revealed and I saw they used Tarsa which makes sense in this ruleset. They had some immunity units which does not take damage from poison. After the ambush the battle started and Exploding rat instantly died after making its first attack because of retaliate. The retaliate triggered another attack and it attacked the Forgotten One.

After some attacks Deeplurcker took down Goblano Soldier and it did trample which took Venator Kinjo down too. Meanwhile Tenyii Striker took down Torrent Fiend and there was a little bit of retaliate against each other, but at the end Dumacke Orc was taken down.

Round 2

Poison was triggered but the damage was not fatal due to the +2 health boost. Coastal Century attacked first and it only triggered Forgotten One's retaliate once, and the attack missed so it took 0 damage AND did another attack because of Stempede. After that enemy Tenyii Striker was taken down.

Round 3

All that was left was the enemy's last unit.

Thoughts about this battle

It was really good to beat someone else with Possibilus which was the summoner that I got beaten quite a lot.
