Splinterlands 101 - Ep 178: Land Therapy

Welcome to episode 178 of my weekly Splinterlands 101 video podcast, with fellow @hiveaustralia members, and co-hosts of the show, @mattclarke and @giotrix
So this week we take a break from the ruleset challenge. It was 100% planned, honestly, it just looks like it wasn't 🤡
As mentioned at the beginning of the show, I read @azircon's post during the week, dedicated to people who have 5 plots.
Folks with Five Plots
Having exactly 5 plots myself, how could I not?
I set up production on my 5 blocks pretty much as soon as I could, back when you could farm anything on any plot, and the only resource you needed for anything was grain.
Well, as we all know, there have been many changes since then, and we also know a lot more now than we did back then too.
So naturally, I've been keeping up to date with all of these changes and making the necessary adjustments as required.
Hahaha, If you believe that, then you've probably also already had 10 booster shots and can't wait for the next one 🤡
No. Unfortunately, reality was something totally different.

So with the assistance of Matt and his infinite patience, we look at my land mess and begin the self correction journey.
So if this is something that you too have been putting off, maybe slightly overwhelmed by the whole process,
Then you might gain some hope from this episode, watching me floundering through the process but ultimately having a win at the end.
and... as time flies when you're having fun 🤡 this ended up taking up pretty much the whole show.
But for the die hard battle fans out there, don't despair...
Matt and Gio managed to sneak in a battle amidst my nervous breakdown, and so we watch that, along with the usual team breakdowns, strategy and running commentary.

Listen to @mattclarke :) You do not need to grow grain. In fact, buy a large amount of grain for each of the region you have assets.

Stone is my far the best asset. It is very expensive, and trading much higher than fair value.
Selling resources is okay.
Not doing research now is okay.

I still FOMO though on not doing research.
I realise on the grand scale of things that my contribution towards The Secret of Praetoria would be miniscule, but @yabapmatt really made an impression on me on that Townhall way back when he dropped those nuggets about the secret.
I am sure you have heard
a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush
That is what I feel about research.

If you don't know something off the top of your head, you always know where to find the answer. The mark of a true craftsman 😍
Also I have some idea how can you improve your revenue model for this long standing podcast/video series.
