Welcome to episode 20 of my weekly Splinterlands 101 podcast, with fellow @hiveaustralia members, and co-hosts of the show, @mattclarke and @giotrix
This episode, is another "Battle Analysis" themed chat.
In this episode, Matt and Gio go toe to toe in a best of 3 challenge, while we do our regular analysis and predictions in real time.
and Drop Bears guild leader, @bearone pops in to crash the party, as her and myself fill the grandstand and enjoy the facial expressions of Matta nd Gio, while they're picking their teams.
Watching 2 people as they pick their teams and battle may sound boring, but trust me, it's hilarious, just watch and you'll see what I mean 😎
and whilst personally, I'm not up to battling either Matt, or Gio, I go live with a battle towards my daily quest

Lol. @mattclarke I didn't know @giotrix was gonna win that match, but when you were giving your analysis I didn't hear you mention backfire damage from chaos agent at all, and you had a lot of slower cards, particularly Swamp Thing, which I knew would die back from backfire if Chaos Agent held on long enough.
Also, the disbelief of how if played out was just wonderful. That's how I felt when @aussieninja pulled that bullshit that got me on the show's radar. I've been trying to abuse him for retribution, but he's sneaky. I think he's hiding in gold league, where Gods don't roam.
Also, it may have come up elsewhere, but we definitely discussed the Stampede ruleset being a trap, since it limits your tank options, but it's excellent for opportunist rules. I try to use Hydra with whatever native trampler I have in the splinter I'm using stashed in the back lines. I've gotten some pretty amazing stampedes that way, particularly with fire splinter since there are so many cards that have it... Molten Ogre, Giant Rock, and Exploding Dwarf all come to mind.

I wish I'd grabbed a Hydra back in the day.
I've also found the double-up of Silvershield Knight (pierce and inspire) and Sacred Unicorn (divine shield and self heal), can offer enjoyable outcomes in Opportunity/Stampede.
Oooh, yeah. Forgot about knight with inspire. That’s a sick combo.
Magnor too. That guy is a juggernaut.

I didn’t call it but I have a lot of faith in Chaos Agent. I’ve even used it in reverse speed with spirit hoarder and had it work almost as well as the swift variant I like to preach about. It’s almost like he’s The One.
Our Gio is growing up fast :)
