This just depends on how you define money and happy. There are indigenous people who are happy and have no money, but I understand your sentiment and agree that for nearly everyone in the world has a greater happiness with their financial needs met than without them... as you quoted, time is money. Money is stored time. The exchange rate of time to money fluctuates rapidly and vastly!
I !LUV your goals and wish you the greatest successes! I've powered down a portion of Hive... the portion I put in from my original USD investment. I'm using it on assets like lvl and bxt to maximize my Hive output/income. I may put up some goals like you did... but I have a couple projects going on at the moment that may slow me down and I can't reveal too much, just yet... all in due time.

Thank you for your comment and I agree with what you wrote about happiness being subjective and also depends a lot on the social context a person lives in.
I personally have always looked more at emotions and human relationships rather than investments but I did it as long as I was single and didn't have a family and never had great needs financially. Then once I got married and especially once I became a father I had to make compromises and now I have to think of others and not just myself.
Hey I read in your profile that you are a father of 5.
Congratulations children are the real wealth of this life because they fill the heart and you have 5 ;)

I'm always trying to balance time investing and time investing in my family. Money makes a huge impact. I just started teaching at a university as a side gig to make more bucks. I feel like it's making me a machine... but if I do it for just one year, I'll be able to transfer to most any other college and earnings potential increases dramatically. We're all in the race...I just hope that some of these investments pay off fast enough to earn more time...
