Soulbound Reward Cards - DRYBONE BARBARIAN

Hi Splinterlanders, I am really exctited about the new reward cards and want to write some posts about them as they come out of loot chests. I got my first one in a bronze chest on one of my alt accounts this morning, Drybone Barbarian.

Here are the stats:

With 4 melee and 10 health at level 1, the Drybone Barbarian is a useful tank in the first position. Although this card has no shield, the enrage ability will give it increased stats once activated. Other than the Shieldbearer, the Life Splinter does not have great options for front-line defense, so this monster is a good addition to the deck.

I was keen to try him out and he performed quite well in his first battle. I teamed him up with Time Mage for speed and Venari Crystalsmith for healing. I speculated on an early enrage and it paid off. The Drybone Barbarian became invincible in this fight.

Drybone Barbarian will also go well with Corsair Bosun with reach in the second position or Arkemis the Bear for shield protection. He becomes more powerful in gold league with retaliate and added speed. I was not too impressed at first glance due to the low speed but engage does give him the chance to shine and prove himself.
