Staking, Pooling, Investing and Powering Up on LPUD

Staking.jpg

Happy LPUD everyone!

For those of you who don't know what that means, #LPUD or Leo Power Up Day happens on the 15th of each month. That is when we stake $LEO tokens to increase our influence and curation rewards on the Inleo platform.

To do it on the 15th, we will also participate in a raffle for a chance to receive LEO delegation as a prize. To participate you need to stake at least 50 LEO to be eligible for some of the prizes and at least 150 LEO for a chance to all the delegations.

In this blog post, I will also take a look at two of the Layer 2 projects I've invested in - Holozing and Splinterlands. This is because I have changed my approach just a little bit toward both of them and while I'm still thinking if they are good decisions, I'm more than happy to receive some tips and guidance, so don't hesitate to leave a comment! 🙂

Holozing

This morning I made a thread about the visibility of the Holozing on Inleo and the rest of the Hive too. I think the Holozing team has done a great job in marketing the game and keeping it as a topic users like to talk and share about.

As for me, I'm currently just hanging in the background, quietly staking and figuring out new ways to increase my $ZING stack.

Most of the ZING I'm receiving comes from the Hive Power delegation and only smaller drips come from holding POSH and staking ZING.

Here you can see my stake and the current APRs:

Both staking and HP delegation APRs are still very good but about a week ago I decided to change my strategy and began the unstake process as I'm planning to start providing liquidity in ZING:SWAP.HIVE liquidity pool (lp).

The pool's APR is 217% which is still very good. I'm then exposed to the impermanent loss effect while the ZING price has stayed relatively stable recently. Time will tell how that goes.

On another note, I'm excitedly waiting for the game to launch and promised myself to start paying attention to the project a bit more. One reason for this is my massive ZING claiming streak of 31 days in December which will allow me to buy a starter pack and a healer at a 31% discount.

Speaking about healers and other such creatures...

Splinterlands

I'm hopeless.

In this vast crypto sea of endless opportunities, I often get fixated on a single idea which I then find it very hard to let go of. This time it's Land on Splinterlands. I can't remember where I got this idea that I need to have 2 plots of land and start staking on those to receive rewards. Probably from X.

Unlike on so many other occasions when I first bought the asset and then did my research, this time I spent a good amount of time finding information about the system and if it is worth it.

I also reached out to the Splinterlands community on X and got some great advice there, some thinking it was good while some said it's not worth it. Still, I can highly recommend this way of doing your research. Especially if it's Splinterlands-related.

I'm still torn between buying and letting the idea go. What I learned was that in addition to a piece of land (about $30-$40 cheapest), I will also need a Power Core and stake some DEC. All this will cost, well, DEC and be way more than I first thought about investing.

Perhaps the biggest problem is my low-level cards - I wouldn't be able to maximize the production without even another heavy investment into older, more expensive Alpha or Beta cards.

Then again, one helpful X:er told me there is going to be an update on Land making only certain terrain types produce Grain which is food workers(cards). Looking into the possible future, I was thinking that buying these terrain types wouldn't necessarily be a bad investment even if I would not work on the land but instead hold on to it, trusting it would become somewhat scarce someday.

Nevertheless, no decision made on that yet.

Leo Power Up Day

I was planning on powering up exactly 150 LEO today but ended up staking a total of 196 LEO. I'm currently following this satisfying strategy I learned on Inleo in which after each LPUD I start saving liquid LEO until I reach the magical number of 150. Everything received after that I stake daily.

In the past month, it took me less than 2 weeks to reach my goal and I must say, it is indeed a good feeling to then power up each day until the next LPUD comes.

Speaking of goal, after today's powering up, I'm now staking a total of 4,544 LEO tokens and being really close to achieving the Cub status which 5k staked LEO if I remember correctly. I would estimate this happening in a month before the next LPUD and if it doesn't, I'll make it happen by buying the needed amount. LEO is still super cheap!

Conclusion

The Airdrop season is on and it has kept me quite pre-occupied lately. Still, I've managed to be pretty active on Inleo which has reflected nicely on both my Hive and Leo balances.

The last couple of days have been hectic hunting those airdrops and believe me, it can be hard work but there are a lot of benefits too like this fellow degen stated here:

As I am committed to growing my Hive account, I'm planning on writing more about my airdrop-hunting experiences in the future. Also, me and my mates created a Discord group just yesterday called Degen Lions in which we help each other to learn and avoid scams and mistakes - share alpha, airdrops and trading tips. If you are interested in joining, let me know in the comments section.

Finally, I probably wouldn't be a good degen if I didn't shill a couple of projects so here are my referral links to two upcoming projects with future airdrops:

I'm quite bullish on both of these and the best thing is, that they require minimum work compared to many other drops and no depositing of any assets to join. Remember to always DYOR though! 🙂

Thank you for reading, let's catch those drops!

I am presuming the Smart Layer is the one farmgirl was talking about which I presume has been on the go for a while, or is it another one! So many going on I can;t keep track!

Happy LPUD and yeah spread the news

Yeah, it's exactly the same one, just joined today using her link. But yeah, I know what you mean, I've mixed up Saga and Manta airdrops many times in head for some reason... 😅
