Splinterlands Mage Wagons!

It's maintenance time, and we're waiting for Conflicts and Mage Wagons to go live in @splinterlands! So as I wait, I decided to enter the Splinterlands art challenge and create AI images. The theme is Summoners in Wagons of course! I took the new Rebellion dual element summoners and stuck them each in their own wagon. Have a look...

Here's Chuul Jujinchi, the Earth/Life summoner who's a wizardly turtle. No idea where the strange looking bear-cats came from.

Next up, we have the wicked Zeddica, the Water/Death summoner:

Next there's Dolfar, one of the protagonists of the first conflict. He's the Fire/Death summoner. He's the "stranger" who approaches you to draft you in assisting with the sabotage operation:

After Dolfar, there's Prunda (my personal favorite!), the Water/Life summoner. She's a siren (or myrmidon maybe?):

And finally we have Brewmaster Abraxas, the Fire/Earth dual summoner. He's a sort of lizardman who carries a barrel that is likely full of ale.

What do you think? Do these do justice to the original summoners from Splinterlands?

If you want to learn more about Conflicts and Mage Wagons, check out this article I wrote with a cheat sheet on the very topic: https://peakd.com/game/@bravetofu/splinterlands-conflicts-cheat-sheet. It covers:

  • What Conflicts & Wagons are
  • What the reward is for the first Conflict
  • How much Wagons cost
  • How to accumulate airdrop chances & guarantees
  • Timing for the first conflict
  • What can be done with cards while they're staked in wagons

Happy maintenance, and happy conflicts & wagons (#soon!). 😅

Nice job! Can you share some of the prompts used?

Also, I see you rocking the leader board!

Thanks!

Sure thing! So I used ChatGPT4 with Dalle for these. I uploaded the summoner cards one by one for the prompts and then simply said "Use the image attached as reference to create a new image, where the character in the image is the driver of a mage wagon in a new image. The setting is magical medieval fantasy, similar to D&D."

In some of the cases I needed to try a few more times. E.g. for Chuul the first attempt gave me a frog driving the wagon, so I had to clarify that it's a turtle...

It's pretty cool how conversational ChatGPT is for image creation, compare to Midjourney. So finetuning takes a very different spin. And I feel it does a better job with contextual information, so your prompts can be more conversational.
