Another week, another #splinterlands weekly recap! 🧵

🥇 Ranked rewards: There were many ongoing discussions about the new ranked rewards system that was put in place ~2 weeks ago. Some players feel the removal of card level caps hurts the new player experience, and makes it harder for players who were happily playing in Silver or Gold. Matt also talked about the $SPS rewards in the new system, letting players know that the earnings in battles would stabilize going into the next season.

We may need to make some modifications as we've seen a drop in Modern battles in the last few days, potentially as a result of the recent changes. As the team mentioned when this was released, they are monitoring it closely and will adjust as necessary.

🎟️ Meanwhile, Vouchers crept up to ~$0.05 as players started to become aware that it was cheaper to buy energy with Vouchers than $DEC given the "peg" at $0.1 when using Vouchers for energy.

🏃‍♂️ Actifit partnership: @Yabapmatt announced this week on Discord that Actifit (a move-to-earn project on $HIVE) is providing incentives for holders of #Splinterlands assets.

🗼 Soulkeep Dev Diary: Double Coconut released a new Dev Diary for Soulkeep, where they discuss development progress and write up answers to some frequently asked questions. They're working on the whitepaper which will be out "soon", confirmed there will not be another pack sale pre-launch, said that the Splinterlands market will be used as the interface for the Soulkeep market, and said that SPL NFTs are planned to integrate into the game in the long term but won't be at launch.

🪙 Listing discussions: There were continued discussions about the community's appetite (or lack thereof, depending on where you look) for pursuing a Tier 1 exchange listing (e.g. Binance). Some team-members (e.g. Cryptomancer) voiced interest, and @Goldmatters_ continues to push the community to seriously consider this. I for one am in favor of this, but just haven't yet seen a clear proposal for how it could get done.

🤖 Runi: This week's Runi showcase has a beautiful plate of armor, and another with "Gormer's Eye", both available in fewer than 1% of all Runi.

🚋 Conflicts: The Kei conflict is less than 2 weeks to completion, which means we'll be hearing about the details of the next conflict within the next 10 days!

🏊‍♂️ Pool update proposals: There are various ongoing proposals to update the rewards for various pools, including reduce/remove the incentives for the $SPS : $WETH, $DEC : $DAI, and Voucher pools. Several people who are quite knowledgeable in DeFi, such as @_cryptoeater and @Clayboyn, have chimed in to explain their positions and recommendations.
