Sticking to my format for these challenges I get one attempt no matter the result.

Made my own thumbnail this week let me know what you think.

Lets get into the battle!

The first important piece here is the ruleset.

With just 13 mana and no ranged attacks, my initial thought was the opponent will use either a magic team using the earth summoner,

Or low cost melee likely involving some cheap back-row and a medium tank to fit within the mana constraint.

Knowing what the other teams strategies could be helped me formulate mine,

I had noticed my opponent had used the fire splinter for the last 5
matches which gave me enough confidence to believe I would be facing 
a melee heavy fire team.

Since I knew I was playing dragons, I only had one summoner choice,

My goal for this was to actually use a dragon card, I was left with two options,

I think you'll be able to tell which one I went with...

At this point I had:

• 4 Cost Summoner Drake of Arnak
• 8 Cost Tank Djinn Chwala
• 1 mana left

I knew that there was a 1 mana death card that due to the summoners 
+1 armor ability, would be able to take 2 back-row hits.

Djinn Chwala is one of my favourite cards in the game to use at level 1!

The 5 armor value along with the 9 health means that in a melee battle, tons of thorns damage is dealt and will take out unsuspecting cards!

Now for the Battle!

The opponent did as I had predicted and used a fire melee team. With just 1 health for the cards in the back-row they stood no chance

The opponent couldn't handle the thorns damage being sent back their way.

The dragon splinter is strong!

As a relatively newer player I am sad that there are no starter dragon 
cards besides the summoner, I look forward to them being added 
sometime in the future. 

I hope that the dragons get a deeper lore storyline for how they came to be. As an alliance type faction which differs from the neutral since the dragons must lead but can work with one other splinter.

This mechanic could create some interesting storylines showing how the dragons have succeeded in splinterlands lore wars as a powerhouse that can fight on its own or with others, truly the only splinter to be able to do such a feat.

I wonder if dragons are the longest living splinter? Let me know if this is true since I am sure there are some parts of the lore that I do not know.
