Buy cards to fight for boring rewards

Dear Splinterlands fans,

I believe it is crucial that we start receiving normal reward cards and packs in the chests again. In the game, there needs to be something that can be earned which cannot be earned elsewhere. Some may argue that SPS is sufficient, but I hold the opposite opinion. For me, SPS in chests is more of a consolation prize, better than potions, but nothing to look forward to. Especially when I know that I can earn more SPS outside of the card game, for example in liquidity pools.

Every gamer knows that the in-game currency in chests is always the worst thing one can receive. In games like World of Warcraft, no one gets excited when a chest or boss loot only drops gold. It's just dull and boring. If I want SPS, then I'll buy SPS. If I want to earn SPS, then I'll go into liquidity pools or purchase licenses. Don't get me wrong, SPS in chests is also important, but that is not the primary reason why people buy cards.
Especially since it's evidently the worst source for SPS.

I believe the poor Rebellion sale shows that I am not the only one who thinks this way.

Furthermore, I wonder when our cutback fanatics will finally realize that they are only achieving the opposite with their actions. One cannot continue to cut back and expect people to spend more. Yes, we can continue to pretend as if we are in a bear market, even though BTC is almost at its all-time high. We can blame it on NPE (New Player Experience), even though the majority of existing players here do not want to spend money anymore. Eventually, we must realize that cuts only lead to people spending less and less money. People spend money when they want to, when it's fun for them, not because they are forced into ever more boring rewards.

It's time for a change in strategy. Let's bring back the excitement and value in our chests by reintroducing normal reward cards and packs. This will not only reinvigorate interest and engagement among players but also encourage spending within the game.
